The freedom, we're getting to see parts of NZ I never knew about. The communities, the people, often we stay the first night before the homeowners leave or fly out. It's a great way for the animals to meet us and get to know us before their owners leave.

Now we are no longer newbies at housesitting I thought I should update our profile. We have come back to NZ to retire and be near family after 32 yrs in Australia. We had our first housesit on the 27th Jan 2025 and here in September '25 on our 10th. Update, we're on our 26th now when counting return sits.It has gone so well and the hardest part is leaving the animals, each one has been so special and its hard not to form a bond with them. We are both quite fit for our ages and loving the farm sits. We love all animals, don't mind if we have to give meds or any special needs. So long as there are instructions I'll give anything a go. We treat your furbabies as our own, the goal being they enjoy their time with us as much as we enjoy them.
We are spending this year settling back into Kiwi life and looking for that special place where we will eventually settle. Our grandchildren are in the Franklin area of Auckland and that is our homebase should we get gaps. Having lost our beautiful blue heeler just before coming back we would welcome any housesits with this special breed.
We spend most days at home as I'm studying my genealogy and my husband loves to trade so we definitely need wifi but it means during the day we're home with the furbabies. Oh and maybe you're curious, I have alopeacia hence why the different hair and headgear. In case you wondered. 😉

Pam and Steve recently looked after our beautiful little fox terrier, Frankie, for 2 weeks while staying in our home, and we honestly could not have asked for better pet sitters. From the moment they arrived, Frankie instantly connected with them. It was clear she felt completely comfortable and loved in their care. Pam and Steve gave her plenty of cuddles, affection, and attention, and made sure she was walked every day, even when the weather wasn't great. We loved receiving regular updates ... Pam and Steve were fabulous. Came home to four very happy animals. Spotless house and communication was fantastic. Highly recommend them. They managed an issue with our solar which was beyond expectations.
Pam and Steve looked after our two boys for 4 and a half weeks. They were amazing, our boys loved them. They communicated well both before and during the house sit and we came home to a clean home and two very happy Japanese Spitz. We would welcome Pam and Steve any time and hope the are available again for our next one.
Pam and Steve did a fantastic job of looking after our house and variety of animals while we were away for 3 weeks. They were great with communication and let us know of any problems as needed. The weather was not very favorable for them unfortunately but they still managed to get the dogs out for plenty of walks. We came home to happy healthy animals and a lovely clean home and mowed lawns. Would highly recommend.

Pam and Steve did a great job looking after our house and cats. Appreciated meeting them before we confirmed the sit and communication was easy throughout. We could see from photos how relaxed our cats were with them, even our timid cat! We were especially grateful they handled an unexpected vet visit promptly and made sure our cat was well cared for. They also left the house clean and tidy, which was a lovely bonus. We’re grateful for their help and would happily recommend them.
We came home to a sparkling, immaculate house and 2 very happy and contented dogs. Pam communicated with us regularly during our absence and followed our pet care instructions to the letter. We were very pleased with them as housesitters and would highly recommend them
We were bit nervous as this was our first try at house sitting. Pam and Steve were fantastic. Communication was awsome. Even taking notes of what needed to be done. We should not have been worried. Pam and Steve were amazing at taking care of our dog and our property. We were so grateful to know that everything was well taken care of while we were away. Pam was diligent in communicating regarding our Airbnb and the cost which arose related to the lawn mower. Steve made an awesome job of taking care of the grounds. Highly recommended!

We returned to a very content cat and a clean tidy house with washing done and fresh milk in the fridge. It was a pleasure to have Pam and Steve pet sit. We appreciated their introductory visit. Communication was always very timely. We had a concern free, relaxing holiday. Thank you. We look forward to using Pam and Steve's services again.
Excellent sitters. Our animals seemed to be well looked after and happy. Excellent communication with them. The house was spotless with any washing cleaned and dried for our return.

Pam and Steve house-sat for us for five weeks, taking care of our lifestyle block, which includes a cat and sheep. Missy, our cat, was sad to see them go, and the sheep eagerly anticipated their daily dose of sheep nuts promptly at 8 a.m. Thank you for the wonderful house sit!
I was very happy to meet Pam and Steve. They made a separate trip to Tauranga to meet with me (and my dog and cat), prior to agreeing on housesitting - it was instantly apparantly that they are genuine animal lovers and would take good care of my place. My rather energetic spoodle was in good hands with long walks and both cat and dog seemed very happy with their house guests. The house was immaculate upon my return and both animals very happy. Pam & Steve are lovely couple, easy to communicate with, Very Clean and tidy and even did some extra gardening for us, & very important watering gardens & indoor plants. Did a great job with both our little dogs took them for walks & lots of attention. Cows, chickens, and sheep were looked after well too. We would definitely recommend Pam & Steve to anyone looking for House Sitters and would have again if dates suited. THANK YOU Pam & Steve
