We love house‑sitting because it lets us combine the comforts of a home base with the thrill of outdoor exploration. Every new sit becomes a mini‑adventure: hikes, starlit evenings, and spontaneous road trips to hidden waterfalls.

we would be happy to care of your pets and look after your house while you are away. It gives us the opportunity to enjoy other parts of New Zealand for our family. We came to NZ in 2013 from Germany and both of our kids are born here. We received NZ citizenship in 2023.

So far, we have taken care of cats, dogs, sheep, kept the house and garden nice and tidy and have run an Air BnB for the homeowners. We are comfortable around lifestyle animals as Kat grew up on a farm which today have hundreds of goats making magnificent cheese.

We would be home every night (so no overnight trips) and can work remotely. If required, one would be home during the day.

The pet(s) need to be comfortable around kids though. We like the outdoors and will make good use of playgrounds or beaches or forests in the area, but also stay home and relax.

As we own a house ourselves in Rolleston (near Christchurch), we'll treat your home with the utmost respect and can contribute to the utility bill while we are at your space. We consider ourselves very trustworthy, tidy and are non-smokers.

We'd need 2+ rooms, the kids can sleep in one room.

Although we passed each other somewhere near Fairley the whole process was very straight forward. Easy to communicate with and very comfortable with arriving without us there this family are great! A few pics of the pups with the kids and we returned to a spotless house with all the washing done or underway. Thanks for the wonderful picture drawn by the kids!!! Definitely welcome this family back again and recommend them to all.
Gorgeous family. They Looked after our home as well as our 2 big energetic dogs and our cat. They made the effort to come and meet our animals first . They left Our home in perfect condition. The Animals were well looked after and loved. Communication was great , even Received a photo while we were away. We couldn't have asked for a better family to stay in our home 🥰.
Andy and Kat were amazing! This was our first time doing this and they made the experience so easy. Great communication and they were great in asking for what they needed from us. We kept in touch throughout the time and they sent pics of our animals to show that they were having a good time. The house was super tidy and clean we arrived back. There kids were amazing as well. Thank you again. I hope we get to cross paths in the future.
Andy,Kat and kids were amazing sitters. Communication leading up to, and during stay was excellent. Appreciated the photos sent thru of our very relaxed looking cat. Came home to very happy and well looked after animals and an immaculately tidy home (probably cleaner than we had left it for them). Would not hesitate to recommend this family to any potential home owners and would love to have them come back to take care of our place again.

Andy and Kat, were awesome housesitters. It was lovely to be able to give them a special Christmas in our home. They sent us pictures if the well cared for animals and had great communication with us throughtout the stay. The house and garden was perfect when we got home. Wonderful family, thank-you so much.

Frida is a high energy, intelligent dog, who is anxious when left alone, so having a family like Andy and Kat's was great as they were happy to enjoy our local beach and park ,and spend time in our ...
