A New Zealander, I have had a career in banking of which 25 years spent in Europe. I lived in the UK, Germany, Italy, Sweden, and Denmark and speak German, Italian, and French.

I’m a great outdoors enthusiast - in particular hiking, climbing, and skiing.

Also roadies are a passion of mine.

I’m a non-drinker and non-smoker, but still a fun, sociable person!

House sitting is a temporary partnership with an owner and I bring positivity, reliability, honesty, and good communications to that partnership. For me, great owners also have the same approach! I get great pleasure from seeing owners returning and being delighted with the house sitting experience.

About half of my housesits are repeats, which I take as a sign that the satisfaction level on both sides has been very high. 😊

Christopher proved to be a punctual, reliable house sitter with a genuine concern for my aging little cat Ruby. He arrived as planned (with his own cooking equipment), and was attentive when I explained some of the aspects of living in my wee cottage. During the five day house sit he let me know how Ruby was getting on, which included photo and text. On the last day he contacted me to see if I needed anything done before he left. When I got home I saw that he had stripped the bed and put ... MoreChristopher proved to be a punctual, reliable house sitter with a genuine concern for my aging little cat Ruby. When I got home I saw that he had stripped the bed and put dirty linen in the laundry before leaving. Christopher is an experienced house sitter who has shown a genuine concern for the care of my cat Ruby, and an appreciation for the care of my wee cottage. He is a good communicator who I wouldn't hesitate to recommend, and would be happy have stay in the future.

Christopher was very easy to communicate with and a great sitter.I came home to a happy animals and a clean house.
Christopher went above and beyond when looking after Sid our cat. Sid had a bit of an accident that resulted in an eye injury and Chris kept us completely informed whilst dealing with vets, medication, surgery and an overnight stay for Sid. We have come home to a well looked after home, cat and house plants!! Chris was very easy to communicate with, he took time to involve himself in our small community attending social events to get to know our neighbours and the area. We easily ... I had the pleasure to meet with Chris prior to the confirmed house sit. Chris has an easy and flexible communication style leaving me feeling totally comfortable leaving Little Pos and the cottage in his care. Chris sent informative update messages and photos during the sit which ensured peace of mind and was very much appreciated. On my return the cottage was as I had left it, with all linen used freshly washed. A great house sitter, who was flexible and kind when needed. Many thanks.
Chris was a fantastic sitter for our property and pets. Chris really helped us out taking us to and from to the airport which was very kind of him. Chris was very tidy and very helpful. Chris kept our place tidy and clean and was a great communicator. I highly recommend Chris as a house sitter. Thank you Chris, you are always welcome.

Penny had a lovely time with Chris who looked after both her and the house very well while we were away. We were out of range for any contact for the majority of our time away but Chris let us as soon as he arrived and was prompt and very polite with his other communication. Would recommend Chris to anyone looking for someone to look after their house and pets while away. Thanks Chris!
We recently had Chris house/dog sit whilst we were on holiday for five weeks. We returned to a clean tidy house and a well looked after Rosie, our much loved pet dog. Chris kept in touch with photos of Rosie and texts to say she is happy and relaxed. We give Chris a much deserved thumbs up and thoroughly recommend Chris to anyone needing a reliable house/pet sitting. Thanks Chris and all the very best for the future.

I am so glad to have found Christopher to house and pet sit for my aged little poodle while I traveled overseas. His communication is excellent and he cared for my home and dog with utmost care. I highly recommend Christopher and hope to have him sit for me again!
it gave me great peace of mind to know that my dog was able to stay in her own home and be looked after while I was away. Christopher did a great job caring for Tula and I was pleased to come home to a relaxed and happy dog. Thank you Christopher for looking after Tula so well.

Chris was a great sitter. Good communication and left everything clean and tidy. No hesitation in recommending.
Chris has been a great housesitter. Mitzi our cat, also loves him. Would thoroughly recommend him, and have already booked him in for another couple of housesits.

Chris took Molly on some amazing long walks which she just loved. He also trained her to sit before getting her lead attached and unattached, an amazing achievement as she hates to sit. Chris was easy to communicate with before and during the house sit. He took great care of Molly, keeping her to her usual routines and walks. Came home to the same very happy dog that we had left in Chris’s care.
Chris was an absolute breeze to have and is a cool and calm person much like our dog so they definitely got on well. He was very flexible and accomodating, I personally messed some dates up but he was more than happy to accomodate. Our dog willow seemed to be very fond of him and we came home to a very clean house. Can’t fault any instance whatsoever. Communication was great, it was a long holiday and there was never any need for us to feel stressed about our dog and house thanks to Chris. ... This was our second time having Christopher to look after Dutton & our home. He is super attentive to our dog, taking him on walks and keeping him active. Dutton had some health issues arise during his stay and Chris was super helpful and happy to take him to the vet for his appointments. Chris is great with communication and maintenance, brings most of his own stuff for the house. Would definitely recommend to anyone! Thanks Chris, Dutton will miss you!
It was a pleasure meeting Christopher and having him house sit our two dogs. Both dogs are getting older now and Meg is getting deaf so can be a bit of a challenge when she does not come to your call. Christopher managed them very well and kept in touch with us while we were away. We would like to thank him very much and would recommend him as a reliable housesitter.
It was lovely to get to know chris before the house sit and our wee dog to get used to him. He looked after both Baxter and house perfectly.

Christopher is great, he was super active taking care of Dutton.. daily walks and adventures into town. Left the house clean as well. Good communication throughout. Have already booked him again for future!
Christopher did a great job of looking after our place for just over three weeks in July. He is a great communicator and we would have no hesitation in recommending him!
Chris was an excellent person to have in to look after the house and animals for 5 weeks. Communication was really easy and he was able to run everything without any trouble. The two cats and the Labrador seemed to be very happy also which made it so much easier for us to be away. We also arrived back to a lovely clean house. We would recommend Chris to anyone needing a great reliable and capable house sitter. We would happily have Chris back again.

Horrible Aftermath Crashed & damaged our car and not even willing to assist in getting a proper Insurance claim done. Damage to our house (by our pet) all 3 places are clearly showing she tried to escape. 1. A Cat door - cracked the surrounding glass as our dog tried to force herself through. 2. Stairs eaten as it was closed off with a baby gate. 3. Ripped 2 curtains off both in front of the doors extremely wrinkled. It clearly looks like she was left alone for extended periods of ... He looked after our fluffy dog really well and was even happy to have a go at brushing her long fur! Chris also feed our rabbits, guinea pig and fish with great care. Chris stayed in our Airbnb looking after the property keeping it neat and tidy. Whilst we were away he replied to messages and even sent some photos reassuring us that our dog was well looked after.
