The holiday ‘home away from home’ feeling. Meeting your pets. Exploring new areas and cafes. It’s been such a fun time, we also got a lot of ideas from other peoples houses that we ended up incorporating into our own new build house.

Hi, we are Emily & Yuuki - a couple who house sit on a regular basis.

Last year we built a house and while it was getting built we decided to house sit full time in Wellington.
In 2025/2026 we have decided to continue to use Kiwi House sitters, expand our horizons and look at house sitting in other areas of NZ too and meeting new gorgeous Pets.

We also have a beautiful 16 year old student called Zarah who is in NZ on a one year school exchange from Germany until July 2026. Zarah would accompany us to any of our future house sitting opportunities and is very polite and tidy (therefore a second bedroom would be required for her- single bed would be fine).

Absolutely awesome couple who took wonderful care of our dog and house. Their communication was excellent, right from when we met them on Zoom a few months prior to the house sit. They came around in advance to meet our dog and she instantly took a liking to them and it seemed the feeling was mutual. They were very receptive to learning about the dog's routine and some minor house admin. We received lots of great photos of our dog during our holiday, and it was really cool that they took her ... Emily and Yuuki are conscientious house sitters, very organised, clean and tidy and we were able to fully relax knowing they were looking after our pup and home. They were even kind enough to offer a lift home from the airport! Would rebook them again in a flash! Thank you so much guys :)
Emily and Yuki looked after our home and three pets while we were on holiday for 4 weeks. They kept us updated on how things were going and asked for advise when needed during the settling in period. We appreciated the honest communication and pictures! Our house was very clean and tidy when we returned home.
Emily & Yuuki were fantastic house sitters, we came back to a spotless house and happy pets. We appreciated the comms while we were away and they were very flexible.
Emily and Yuuki were fantastic and we’d happily have them back in an heartbeat. They took excellent care of our pets, and even provided updates which made us feel super relaxed knowing how happy our cat was. Our house was immaculately clean when we returned too. Emily and Yuuki are great house sitters, very reliable, trustworthy, thoughtful and considerate. Definitely recommend .
