Ideally we are currently (2026) looking for homes in the Wellington region while our new house is being built in Khandallah. We especially love dogs and we walk around 10k+ steps daily with them.

We both love the opportunity to live in new areas of New Zealand, whether city, suburbs or rural farm stays. It's a unique opportunity to really engage with a community and become part of the neighbourhood if only for a short while.
The pets are totally engaging and fill our days with play and love.

We are happy to house sit anywhere in the North Island as we are building a house in Wellington.
We know how it feels to leave your home and precious belongings behind. We will respect your home as if it is our own.

We own a classic two-seater sports car so driving dogs to walking trails, beaches and parks is unfortunately not an option unless you have a vehicle available (sorry). Ideally we are currently (2026) looking for homes in the Wellington region while our new home is being built in Khandallah.

We are happy to send you photo updates of your home & garden, so you don't loose touch with things while you are away. We both love gardening too! In the recent housesits we have restocked the fridge with breakfast supplies and fresh milk so you have something to eat on your return. Just let us know what you like.

We have never smoked, used drugs or have any criminal convictions. Too old for wild parties (just incase you were wondering).

Absolutely outstanding house sitters. Highly experienced, warm, and genuinely lovely to deal with — we felt at ease the entire time. Andrew and Janice were wonderful house sitters for us whilst we spent a month away overseas. Communication was great in advance of the house sit and they were even happy to visit our house in advance to meet the pets. They took care of our rather challenging puppy plus 2 cats whilst we were gone and all the pets appeared to be happy, settled and cared for on our return. Our pup in particular was spoilt with long and frequent walks, much more than he gets from us usually! Our house was ... We couldn’t have asked for better house and pet sitters. Over the 5 weeks we were away, our two French Bulldogs and five chickens were incredibly well cared for and clearly very loved. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such capable and caring hands. Our home and garden were also beautifully maintained — we returned to everything looking immaculate and well looked after. We'd have Andrew and Janice back in a heartbeat. Thank you both for taking such great care of our dog - especially given her slight addiction to the ball! We arrived home to find that these wonderful humans had not only cleaned our windows, but fixed our kitchen cabinets (!!), and left our home cleaner than we'd left it. They're both lovely people to talk with, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

Fabulous pet sitters, dogs had a blast and didn’t want them to leave. House was well looked after, comms were excellent.

We are so lucky to have had Andrew and Janice look after our cat and home while we were away. They were both so lovely and we immediately felt at ease when we met them. We returned to a house that was super clean and tidy, and Issy was very happy. They very kindly left us some food and milk in the fridge - very much appreciated after returning late! They had awesome communication and we would love to have them stay again! Can’t recommend enough 😁

He was quite disappointed to see us return. The house was immaculate and the garden pristine. They looked after everything beautifully and with great care. They left some staple groceries in the fridge for us, so we didn't need to go out for supplies as soon as we got home. They also baked us a yummy courgette ... Friendly couple. Took great care of our pets. Coped well with the menagerie including unexpected baby chicks.
The perfect housesitters!! House immaculate when we got home. Dinner ready for us to reheat. Animals actually looked sad to see us. I'm devastated that Andrew & Janice can't do our next trip....
We had a fantastic holiday and came back to pets that hadn't known we'd left. Andrew and Janice were amazing, The house as well as the pets was taken care of with the garage being cleaned up, lawn being cut and windows being cleaned. We couldn't of asked for anything more. And we all fought over the Lemon Tart that Janice had left us in the fridge.

This was my first time using a house sitter and I'm so pleased to have had Andrew and Janice as my first sitters. They took the time to come and meet with us prior to the house sit and I immediately felt at ease with both of them. Their communication before, during and after the sit was very good. We returned to a tidy home and a happy dog. I even found my dog snoozing outside the guest bedroom door a couple of days after they left - something he's never done before and a sure sign to me that ... Andrew and Janice did a great job of looking after our home and Baylee. They took the time to come and meet with us prior to the sit and arrived early on the day that we were leaving so that they had time to spend with Baylee, so he would be more comfortable with them when we left. They seemed well experienced with dogs and did a good job of caring for him while we were away. We didn't want too much communication while we were gone, but they responded well when we asked for updates. They ... MoreAndrew and Janice did a great job of looking after our home and Baylee. Andrew and Janice cared for our house and two cats for six weeks and were great housesitters. The house and garden were very well looked after, as were our cats. They probably didn't even notice we were gone! There was a delicious casserole and cheesecake for us on our return and food staples and some "extras" had been left for us. We highly recommend them and would have them back, no question.
Andrew and Janice were absolutely amazing. This was my first time using a pet sitter and I was so nervous. The house was immaculate when I returned and Gus and Delilah were very happy. Andrew kept me informed by sending photos of the dogs and let me know how they were and what they were up to. The dogs were taken for long walks which they loved. Andrew and Janice are top notch house sitters in all regards...pets, house, garden. In fact, the house was tidier after their stay and they even left provisions for our return. The sticky date cake was something else! Our pets were all happy and healthy. Their communication was speedy too. I can't recommend Andrew and Janice highly enough.
Andrew and Janice looked after our two dogs and house over the weekend and were amazing. The dogs were clearly well cared for and happy when we returned, and we really appreciated the updates and photos. The house was just as we left it and it gave us real peace of mind knowing our pets and home were in such capable hands. Thank you!

Janice and Andrew are outstanding house sitters. It would be hard to find people more lovely and capable with whom to leave your house and pets. The house was spotless when I returned - including my mucky windows, some Delicious risotto in the fridge and the animals obviously very well cared for and exercised. My dog was on the antidote for rat bait poisoning and they took that in their stride, giving her the medicine each day. They are welcome back any time.

We received messages with great photos of our cats & dog while away. The house was left clean & tidy, with a meal waiting for us in the fridge, including some home baking, all delicious. Janice and Andrew were outstanding house/pet sitters. Super easy to communicate with, left the house sparkling clean and our cats were happy and settled. I could not recommend them more highly and would love to have them stay again.
Andrew and Janice were the best! Our pup even learned a new trick during their stay! Got lovely updates and know she was so cared for while we were gone. They left the house so very clean and even made some yummy muffins for us to enjoy after they left.

Andrew and Janice were truly lovely house and dog sitters. Our little cavoodle was completely smitten, and had obviously received lots of care and attention, which is just what she loves. The house was left very tidy with washing done. Communication was excellent under trying conditions (our reception at top of Coromandel wasn't good!), with lots of photos eventually coming through. Andrew and Janice are very friendly, positive people and we can recommend them highly
Andrew and Janice were fantastic house sitters. Friendly and communicative. Nothing was too much trouble. All pets were well and happy on our return. Our house was clean and tidy with fresh baking in the fridge. Windows had been cleaned and were sparkling. As an added bonus, Andrew took some very professional photos of our pets which we were thrilled to received. We would have no hesitation in recommending Andrew and Janice for any future house sits.

It was wonderful to have Andrew and Janice again. Our three dogs and three cats were very happy to see them. Our pets have formed a special bond with them. We felt very comfortable with Andrew and Janice looking after our pets and home. Janice even made us yummy baked tea cakes. We highly recommend them to anyone xx
I don’t think you could possibly find better sitters than these two. I felt instantly comfortable with them caring for my furbaby and home after meeting them, Caring, honest, , kind and I came home to a very clean house, tidy garden, some helpful notes and a very happy little dog!

We had the privilege of having Andrew and Janice look after our dogs, cats, and home while we were overseas. They are a lovely couple, and we immediately felt at ease upon meeting them. We returned to a house that was spic and span, and all the animals were healthy and happy. We were even left with food in the cupboard and milk in the fridge. Our Cavoodle had a bad experience with a previous house sitter, so we were worried about how she would cope with Andrew and Janice. However, she was ... Andrew and Janice minded our pets and property for a period of 2 months while we were in Europe. They were amazing and cared for our pets and property as if it were their own. We came home to find the house immaculate and our pets well looked after. I would have no hesitation in recommending Andrew and Janice to anyone wanting their house minded for any length of time.

Janice and Andrew looked after our dog and home for three weeks. They were superb. So easy to communicate with. Our dog was very well cared for, our home was treated like their home and we came back to a beautifully clean house with loads of food left in our cupboard. Highly recommend this lovely couple.
