Trevor and I live in Nelson/Whakatu now having worked in the horticultural industry in the Gisborne/Tairawhiti region for most of our careers. Our home has always included moggy cats, our first, an Australian long haired black cat that Chelle couldn't leave behind when she returned to NZ. Elspeth was part of our family for 20 years, occassionally sharing her home with 6 other SPCA special cats, the last being Daisy, a feisty long haired ginger. Chelle and Trevor have been amazing. They came up to meet us before and we immediately felt that they will take great care of our cats and house. Communication was great, both cat´s were happy and healthy when we came back. One of the cats is asking for brushing a lot more now, I think she has been indulged while we were away. The other one is a bit aloof and likes to keep to himself, but clearly enjoyed not having to be in a cattery. The house was in great shape when we returned. We would ... Chelle & Trev are a super lovely couple that took great care of both Cleo and our house. They were great communicators including lots of photos of Cleo. They left the place sparkling clean and even made our bed up for us for our return. I would welcome them back again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great house sitter.
Chelle & Trevor were so good to deal with. We had a video meeting & then when our holiday finally came around, we got to meet them the day before as they came down early from Nelson to meet us. The first photo they sent was of Nelson sitting on Trevor's lap. Clearly they all got on well! When we got back Nelson was very relaxed & not at all stressed. He did keep walking down to the guest room and I think he was looking for them!😻 Everything was perfect when we got home & it gave us great peace ... MoreChelle & Trevor were so good to deal with. Chelle and Trevor sat for us and looked after our diva cat Delilah in October 2023. Communication with Chelle and Trevor was great both before and during the time we were away. We came back to a lovely clean house and also some information leaflets on local tourist information, some for places we weren't aware of. We will add these to our housesitter info file for future sits :-). We would highly recommend this lovely couple.
Chelle and Trevor were very considerate housesitters. Where they could, they chose to use their own things like linen or even pantry items. They kept my plants alive and even tried to resuscitate a couple of dead ones. Above everything else, they were excellent carers of our two cats. They gave us daily detailed updates on them and made sure they were eating enough. Both our boys, even our most temperamental one, seemed happy when we arrived back home!
