We love house sitting because it allows us to be around animals which we love, explore new places and connect with local communities. It’s a rewarding way to travel while ensuring pets are loved and homes are cared for. Each sit feels like a new adventure!

We are a family of four – Lath (40), Tash (38), Arabella (12), and Sienna (8) – with glowing 5-star reviews from our house sitting adventures!

We're currently looking for a house sit from 17th - 24th August in Wanaka/Queenstown/Cromwell/Alex area.

Since July 2022 (yes - nearly 4 years!), we've been house sitting full time all around New Zealand, caring for pets and homes, and meeting amazing people along the way. We love exploring the areas we are house sitting in which includes hiking, finding the best coffee spots, getting to know locals (we ALWAYS leave a house sit having made new friends!) and enjoying sunsets/sunrises. Tash is a photographer so she is always searching for amazing viewpoints and wildlife to photograph.

We’re a tidy, respectful, and reliable family who takes pride in looking after others' homes and pets with love and care. Our reviews speak for themselves and we’re often invited back to house sit again.

Arabella and Sienna are kind and gentle with animals. They respect others' spaces and always eat and drink at the table or outside. We're not party people – we enjoy quiet time at home and we’re non smokers who lead a healthy lifestyle. Having lived rurally for a long time, we’re familiar with septic tanks and tank water systems.

We’re both self-employed and work online, so we require fast, reliable and unlimited internet to work from our computers. Our weeks are a balance of work, education, hiking, exploring new areas, seeking out the best cafes and downtime with the girls at home. We love adventures but we’re never out all day, every day.

We adore animals! In 2022, we said goodbye to our beloved 16-year-old border collie, Phoenix, who had special needs in his later years. This experience gave us great understanding and patience with older pets who have incontenence, dementia, arthritis and sight/hearing issues.

We’ll treat your pets like our own – feeding them, giving them plenty of cuddles, exercising them and taking them on adventures when possible. Arabella and Sienna are really gentle with animals and quickly become best friends with them!

In addition to caring for pets and homes, we’ve also had experience staying at properties with Airbnb accommodations on-site. We’ve managed guest check-ins, provided assistance to guests, and ensured the properties were clean and ready for new arrivals. Our responsibilities included tidying up after guests, maintaining cleanliness in shared spaces, and ensuring a welcoming environment for everyone. This experience has helped us develop excellent attention to detail and hospitality skills, making us well-suited for properties with guest accommodations. We can offer excellent testimonials upon request or put you in touch with the owners.

We love staying in touch with homeowners and can send pictures and videos of your pets via WhatsApp or email as often as you'd like.

We want to give homeowners peace of mind that when we commit to a house sit - we fully commit. We have never cancelled a house sit and will never change our minds because we've decided to change our plans.

What we're looking for in a house sit:
- A warm or cool home depending on the season
- A comfortable and safe space for our family
- Reliable, high-speed internet for our work
- A smoke free home
- Animals that are great with kids

Our house sitting experience since 2022:

House Sit #1: Managed a large rural property with six houses, Airbnb accommodation, six alpacas, and guest check-ins.
House Sit #2: Cared for two dogs – a Cavoodle and a Papillon – with daily walks, and also maintained the lawn, fed goldfish, and cleaned their tank.
House Sit #3: Took care of a playful 1-year-old large breed dog, exercised her daily, and tended to chickens and mowed the lawns.
House Sit #4: Cared for three horses with special diets, a Rottweiler, two cats, chickens, a goat, sheep, and geese.
House Sit #5: Looked after a Springer Spaniel and a fluffy cat, walking the dog daily and maintaining the lawn.
House Sit #6: Took care of a Spoodle, with adventures and cuddles, and watered indoor plants.
House Sit #7: Cared for two cats (feeding, snuggling) and two chickens (feeding and collecting eggs).
House Sit #8: Looked after three cats, feeding, snuggling, and ensuring they were in their own areas.
House Sit #9: Took care of a small dog, feeding, walking, and plenty of cuddles.
House Sit #10: Managed a dog, three goats, 25 chickens, and six deer. Also watered indoor plants and tended to a tunnel house.
House Sit #11: Cared for two dogs, one cat, and one horse, along with watering indoor plants.
House Sit #12: Looked after two cats and watered plants.
House Sit #13: Cared for one dog, one cat, and four chickens, plus garden and plant care.
House Sit #14: Returned for a second time to house-sit for a family with a dog, cat, and chickens, plus plant care.
House Sit #15: Managed four goats, maintained the lawn, and kept an eye on the sheep.
House Sit #16: Looked after six beautiful cats.
House Sit #17: Cared for two dogs, watered plants, and cleaned an Airbnb cottage on the property.
House Sit #18: Took care of two small dogs, walking them twice a day, and watered indoor plants.
House Sit #19: Managed a dog and cat, with walks, feeding, and plenty of attention.
House Sit #20: Looked after one sweet dog and watered indoor plants.
House Sit #21: Cared for three dogs, walking them, watering indoor plants, and tending to the vegetable garden.
House Sit #22: Looked after a gorgeous kitty and watered house plants.

House sit #24: Returned to a house sit for the 2nd time, looking after 3 amazing dogs.
House sit #25: Returned to a house sit for the 2nd time, looking after 2 gorgeous doggies and watering indoor plants.
House sit #26: Looked after a returning house sit for the 2nd time, with 2 amazing doggies, watering indoor plants and cleaning an airbnb cottage.
House sit #27: Looked after 2 dogs, 1 cat 4 sheep and 1 cow. Watered indoor and outdoor plants + mowed the lawns. Basic pool care.
House sit #28: Looked after 1 dog, 1 cat & watered indoor plants.
House sit #29: Looked after 3 gorgeous dogs, 2 cats, 6 chickens and watering indoor plants.
House sit #30: Looked after the sweetest, blind doggie and watered indoor plants.
House sit #31: Looked after 2 labradors and watered indoor plants.
House sit #32: This was our 3rd time house sitting for these lovely owners, looking after 2 doggies and watering indoor plants.

We were so lucky to have Tash and Lath and the girls as House sitters. They were absolutely awesome. The dogs were looked after and cared for and spoiled by all the family. The House was immaculate and we loved the line up of the Rubber ducks in the bath when we got home. Communication was great and we certainly felt at ease when we were away. Wow! Were we lucky to have Tash &Lath as our very first house/petsitters. They were perfect. Our dog Monty was extremely well cared for, our house was extremely clean and tidy. Communication from them was excellent with some lovely updates and photos. I truely didn’t worry about anything at home at all. I will be checking their availability everytime I need a sitter. Unfortunately they’re not available for my next time but fingers crossed they will be in the future. Thank you both so much and ... MoreWow! Tash and Lath and their 2 lovely girls were amazing sitters. Our dog, Frankie took to them straight away and we felt very comfortable leaving the house in their hands. We had plenty of updates and questions if they had any concerns about the pets. Our cat is 20 years old and I could see he was unfazed by it all. His litter box was left clean on our arrival home, as was our house. Frankie was looking for his new friends the next day, I’m sure. Wouldn’t hesitate to have Tash and Lath sit again ... Tash and Lath and their two daughters house sat for us for 7 weeks while we were away overseas. They looked after our dog, two cats, two sheep, two cows and 4 chickens, as well as a large house, pool and section. We came back to a clean house and tidy section with newly mown lawns. All the animals were happy and in good condition. I am sure our dog is missing them. Communication was good with regular updates.
We would highly recommend Tash and Lath. Absolutely brilliant! The house was left perfect, the animals loved them and communications were great. Thanks guys you were awesome!! We would love to have you sit again in the future if the dates line up.
Tahs, Lath and their 2 girls Bella and Sienna were great house sitters. They really fit well into the local community, the house and animal were well looked after. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing house sitter/ pet sitters.
Can’t fault these housesitters although I wasn’t fortunate enough to meet them in person due to work commitments however my husband handed over the care of our 3 dogs to them. We had regular phone conversations prior to the start of dog/house sit so felt like I got to know them and was able to tell them everything they needed to know about what the dogs required and some info about the location of the housesit. Regular updates during the sit and beautiful photos of our pets ♥️♥️♥️ Tash ... Tash, Lath and the girls were amazing sitters. Great communication and took amazing care of our pets and house. Our doggo in particular had fun adventures with their family and the pics were lovely to see. Arrived home to a spotless house which we were so grateful for after a long drive, and a wee special treat for the kiddos an added bonus to end the holiday. Would definitely reach out to house sit again and love to keep in touch. Thanks guys!

Apart any times that we want to engage this gorgeous family, you should snap them up for your own home. We simply cannot speak highly enough of them. They cared for our pets so we'll that they have gone into mourning now that they have gone. Our house was spotless and , bless them, they prepared a meal for our return. They are absolutely great, so good I can't find enough words. We were away 8 weeks, which is a long time to leave your home and they made that time worry free.
From the very first response, Tash Lath's communication was prompt and reassuring. We met over a Zoom call, and I knew immediately they were the perfect fit. I’ve always been a bit hesitant about sharing my home, especially with kids, but I couldn’t have chosen a better family. They stayed with us the first night so we could show them the ropes, and it was clear this wasn’t their first rodeo—the handover was a breeze. A great family to have House Sit, the cats were all very well looked after and the house left very clean and tidy. Will look forward to the next time they are available to House Sit.
We have 4 goats and 3 chickens. I think that they were disappointed when we came home as Tash, Lath and the girls gave them so much loving attention. Tash, Lath and the girls have house-sat twice for us now, and have taken such great care of our home. It was wonderful to know our pets were being well cared for and loved! Tash’ kept us informed of how things were going, and was proactive in addressing any problems. Fantastic to arrive home to a spotless house, mowed lawns and happy pets. Highly recommend.

These guys are the best house sitters ever! They looked after our pets and house so incredibly well. We got updates/photos of the pets when we wanted and they were always happy as! Everything was left clean and tidy! Great communications and we could enjoy our holiday because they had it all under control. Tash, Lath and the kids were incredible. We’ve returned home from our holiday today to a beautifully warm and clean home, even some lovely treats to welcome us back, and an extremely happy pup. It was a hard decision leaving our home and Pup to houseistters as we only bought the house a few months ago and Winston is still very young, but Tash and family made us feel very comfortable, their reviews on the site were extremely spot on, they sent us beautiful photos while we were away, and it looks ... It was a hard decision leaving our home and Pup to houseistters as we only bought the house a few months ago and Winston is still very young, but Tash and family made us feel very comfortable, their reviews on the site were extremely spot on, they sent us beautiful photos while we were away, and it looks as though Winston had an absolute blast. I would highly recommend and we’ve also asked for them to return back to us if they are free to sit again in October. This whānau was absolutely lovely and a pleasure to have look after our pets. Great communication, thoughtful, considerate and left our house immaculately clean! Thankful they were able to look after our fur babies and made being away from home so easy. Highly recommend this family!
Tash and Lath and their two daughters were fantastic house sitters. We met them in person and wished we’d seen them again on our return. They are lovely, friendly and trustworthy. They cared for our animals and property like they would their own, and sent us photos of our beloved dog. Our house was cleaner than how we left it! We totally recommend Tash and Lath as house sitters, and would love to have them back.
We were so pleased to have Lath, Tash, Bella and Sienna look after our house and Bella our dog. The house was immaculate upon our return from overseas. Our dog was happy, content and well exercised. Best House sitters -EVER! House was immaculate when we came home, with pantry restocked and most importantly happy well cared for fur babies. These guys are awesome - totally recommend.
Tash and Lath and their two daughters housesat at my holiday home business for 3 weeks. There were quite a few surprises to attend to during their stay of which they tackled with ease and a fabulous attitude. What a cool family- the girls pitched in and learnt also.
