Update 2025. Again for the first half of the year we are house-sitting in the Wellington region before heading further afield from mid July.

We are Frances and Stephen, a couple in our early 60's who have semi-retired to Alexandra. We are Frances and Stephen, a couple in our early 60's who have semi-retired to Alexandra. Our plan was to travel overseas, however like for many others that is obviously now on hold so hope to travel around NZ more. We have completed over 40 housesits with all 5 star reviews, through another very popular website which we can send you a link to - we have looked after dogs, cats, chickens and horses. Our reviews all comment on how happy pets were with us and homes left immaculate.
About us.
We have 3 grown up children, who after being scattered around the world are now all living back in Wellington. Frances is a teacher, before coming down to Alexandra was HOD Mathematics (everyone's favourite subject) at Wellington Girls' College and now takes on various long term and day relieving positions around the country. Stephen previously worked for Ministry of Defense ( ex RAF) and now works as an advocate for Pacific seasonal workers. We are happy to consider most areas of N Z and can guarantee your home and pets would be well cared for.

5 Stars: Exceptional House & Pet Sitters! We couldn't have asked for better sitters than Frances and Stephen. Communication was seamless from start to finish. They went above and beyond, leaving our home immaculate (truthfully, cleaner than we left it!) and even taking the initiative to mow the lawn without being asked. Most importantly, they loved our dog like their own. He had such a great time that he was actually depressed when they left! Thank you, Frances and Stephen, for taking such ... This was our first time having house sitters and we were very apprehensive about it but all our worries lifted upon first contact with Frances and Stephen, very friendly, communicative and pets were very well looked after, spoilt doggy with lots of play time and walks! Frances did an amazing job of looking after our cat Julie for two weeks. She sent photos and videos and kept us updated with Julie's antics. The house and plants were very well looked after (I'm sure the house was cleaner than when we left it!). We would have her back in a flash if she was available!
I felt completely confident with Frances - she can obviously handle anything (although fortunately didn't have to) and she was happy to send me pics while I was away. The place was lovely and spicy and span on my return. I would love to have Frances back.

Frances has looked after our cat twice and both times we have returned to a very happy cat and an extremely tidy house. Frances has been fantastic and I highly recommend her for anyone needing a sitter!!

Frances looked after our home, cat and the many house plants for five weeks while we were overseas. She was AMAZING. We couldn’t have hoped for a better house sitter. My house was sparkling clean when I got home and my lawn was even mowed very neatly, even though I did not specifically ask for it to be done. My cats were both relaxed when I got home. Frances was fabulous to deal with and took very good care of our pets and our place while we were away. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and will definitely be happy to have her come house sit again.
Frances was a wonderful sitter - She was very communicative, and took great care of Whiskey, keeping me well updated along the trip. She kept the house very neat and tidy, it was fantastic to come home to a happy boy and a clean house. Would definitely have Frances housesit for me again!
This was our first experience with Kiwi Housesitters and we were most grateful to Frances and Steve for answering all our queries and taking good care of our retriever Finn. Communication was excellent and it was lovely to come back to our house to find it in top condition and a happy dog. We would highly recommend this couple and hope they can return in the future and be lucky enough to see dolphins every day as they did this time !

Frances was an excellent house sitter. The house was pristine when I came home. Soleil, my elderly cat , was happy, groomed and well fed and had obviously found a new friend.. Later, I discovered that a drooping curtain I'd been meaning to fix was was fixed and a patch of garden weeded neither part of the sitting contract but, never-the-less much appreciated. Frances has an undoubted eye for detail. I do not hesitate in recommending her as an excellent house/pet sitter for other users
We enjoyed having Frances and Stephen look after our house and pets. The pets were happy and the house was spotless. We would happily have them house sit again.
