I'm 57 and a veterinarian. Most of my career was in companion animal practice, but I joined MPI's Live Animal team 7 years ago. I also volunteer as an official vet at endurance rides in my spare time.

I am based in Auckland, originally from South Africa. I'm now a citizen of this wonderful country after immigrating 10 years ago. I have been housesitting in NZ for 7 years, and found it very rewarding.

I would love doing housesits in other countries.

I owned and lived on a lifestyle property in South Africa for many years, where I always had lots of dogs (big and small), cats and horses. I competed in equine endurance riding.


I am responsible, respectful, neat and honest.

Lina is everything you could want in a house sitter. Great communication, left the house spotless and when I came home my animals were smooching all over her instead of me! She even calmly put up with a painter who arrived unannounced. Loved a glass of wine and chat with her at the end of the sit and will definitely be inviting her back. Thanks Lina :)
Lina and her daughter were great. Lina stayed in touch with me which was so great. Dogs were happy on our return. Many Thanks Lina!
Lina and Pierre were great house sitters, good communication, and kept in touch while we were away to let us know how the dog way.
Lina was awesome. We came home to a spotless house and happy animals, with great communication before, during and after. It was great to be able to go away after so long, having full peace of mind that all the animals were in good hands. Highly recommend! x
Lina did a great job looking after my house and all the animals. The dogs were healthy and happy on my return and also the rest of the farm animals. She showed great knowledge and commitment taking care of all the animals, from the small fish to the large alpacas. The communication were good from the start and her reports were useful and informative. She has a good problem solving skills and sorted out any issue with ease. We had a great experience with Lena and her partner who cared for Boston our dog very well, communicated reliably and left our home in pristine condition. Highly recommended.
