favoriteWhy we love house sitting

I, Anja, got into housesitting on my working holiday visa. It gave me a great opportunity to spend time in different towns, meet nice people and take care of their lovely animals. Molly joined me on a couple of the housesits and we both loved it and wanted to do this again.

We are Anja (Slovenian) and Molly (Kiwi) visiting New Zealand after living abroad with the goal of cycling Tour Aotearoa and exploring this wonderful country.

We met when, I (Anja) came to New Zealand on a working holiday visa 6 years ago. Covid happened and I happily ended up staying here for 2 years. Afterwards we moved to Berlin and have spent the last 4 years there.

We love animals and taking care of them. We both lived with pets most of our lives and because we couldn't have any while we were in Berlin, we really miss it and cannot wait to get a chance to spend time with them again.
Otherwise we are both non-smokers, we spend our time reading, exploring wherever we are and being active in general (hiking, running, cycling, climbing,..). We keep our living space nice and tidy. It's important to have good communication and be reliable. Especially when people trust you with their homes and furry family members.

Pet care

We both grew up with dogs.
Molly absolutely loves them and cannot wait to have one of her own.
When I was housesitting in New Zealand, Molly joined me and we took care of some wonderful cats and dogs. In Berlin, we got to petsit our friend's cats while he was away.

Molly absolutely loves them and cannot wait to have one of her own.
When I was housesitting in New Zealand, Molly joined me and we took care of some wonderful cats and dogs. In Berlin, we got to petsit our friend's cats while he was away.
I also grew up around cats, housesat guinea pigs, took care of farm animals while travelling Iceland and lived with my flatmate's cats in Berlin before going to New Zealand.

We both absolutely love spending time with animals, taking care of them and keeping them happy and fulfilled.

Anja was an awesome Housesitter. She kept us updated with photographs and posts of the animals having an awesome time with her. Our home and property was immaculate when we got home!! :-D
Anja was a great house sitter. She took good care of our animals and it was great to come home to find the animals calm and happy, and the house clean and tidy. Anja communicated well with me and was very reliable. Thank you Anja for sitting for us.
Anja did an amazing job looking after the house and the dogs. The boys looked well cared for and loved, she sent pictures and kept us posted on how things were going. The house was left in immaculate condition. Would highly recommend her.
