2021 Update: We are finishing our job as Lodge managers for the last 3 years in the Far North in August. Available for a sit in Northland end of August - early September. We are professional property caretakers and have worked in both Hawaii and New Zealand in a variety of accomodation management positions including Heartsong Retreat on Waiheke island, Flaxmill Boutique accomodation & campground on the Coromandel Peninsula, off the grid shangri la style vacation rentals and Hawaiian condominiums on Sugar Beach, Maui. Our longest standing position of 18months required caring for a dog with cancer on Waiheke Island who we fell in love with like our own. We love animals and Sam is known as a bit of a cat whisperer too. During our last position he adopted a feral cat. One of our Hawaiian property jobs was off the grid in the jungle caring for 3 donkeys, plus the ducks and chickens. Sam was in his element.

We arrived back in New Zealand in January and within our first two weeks Sam had a fall and broke his heel. We plan to get another property management job as soon as Sam is well and truly back on his feet. In the meantime we thought we could explore NZ and maybe find a wonderful community to call home. DONE! Just got the managers position in Russell! We have fallen in love with the Far North after housesitting in 4 wonderful locations over the last 5 months.

Having cared for properties professionally we guarantee that you will be satisfied with the level of care we offer for both your precious pets and your home.

We thought we had found our perfect house sitters with Sue & Sam but we didn't realise just how super perfect they were! So dependable, great communication and our home & pets were looked after as though we were there ourselves.Absolutely no stress whatsoever for us or our pets. The world is a wonderful place to explore knowing Sue & Sam are at home, making our holiday perfect! Cannot express our heartfelt thanks to this wonderful couple.
Sue and Sam "sat" for us- and Ruby(the wee cat!) with great success and enjoyment all round. Sue and Sam were wonderful house sitters! Not only did they keep the house in great shape but they also kept my Air Bnb going, gaining my profile a number of 5 star ratings through their hospitality. They were also very flexible and accommodating as I had a few builders etc finish off some projects around the house. Communication was excellent and always kept me informed with progress and Air bnb guests.

Sue and Sam looked after my dog and two cats while I traveled overseas. Their communication was great, and they left the house in perfect shape. I have no hesitations in recommending them as sitters and would gladly ask them to take care of my crew in the future.
