I’m Belinda and recently returned to New Zealand after spending the past eight years living and working in Melbourne and London. I’m now based in Christchurch, where I work full-time as a Project Coordinator for an engineering consultancy.

Before settling in Christchurch, I managed a private lodge on the Milford Track in Fiordland, leading a team of 12 staff and hosting up to 50 guests each day in a remote environment. The role involved overseeing day-to-day operations, coordinating logistics and helicopter resupplies, and ensuring everything ran smoothly. It required a high level of responsibility, organisation and self-sufficiency.

I enjoy house sitting because it gives me the opportunity to spend quality time with pets while helping homeowners travel with peace of mind. I love staying active, so having a dog to join me on daily walks and explore the local neighbourhood with is an added bonus.

I have previous house-sitting experience, including an eight-month period completing house sits throughout Wellington before heading overseas. Since relocating to Christchurch, I've also completed several successful house sits caring for a variety of homes and pets. I'm reliable, respectful, and take pride in keeping a home clean, tidy, and well cared for.

I have experience looking after dogs, cats, and chickens, and I'm comfortable following established routines to ensure pets feel settled, safe, and happy while their owners are away.

Since returning to New Zealand and relocating to Christchurch, I’ve resumed house-sitting regularly.

Most of my experience is with dogs, including caring for two dogs at a time, managing feeding routines, daily walks, exercise, and companionship. I’ve also looked after cats and chickens and am comfortable caring for animals with different personalities and needs.

Belinda house-sat for us over the weekend and was a pleasure to deal with throughout. She took the time to come and meet our dog beforehand, which we appreciated and helped us feel comfortable leaving him in her care. When we returned, the house was clean and tidy, and Hughie was happy and settled. Overall, everything was well looked after and we would be happy to recommend Belinda to others looking for a reliable house sitter.
Belinda took good care of the house and the dogs. We were happy to have her.
Belinda looked after our house and 2 year old Labradoodle for two weeks whilst we were overseas. From the first contact Belinda was easy to communicate with and took great care of our house. Would definately recommend to others, nice to come back to a clean house and happy doggo!

Belinda stayed in our house for a few days recently and was a pleasure to deal with. We came home to a spotless house and a happy dog; I would thoroughly recommend her and hope she will come again.
