Putorino Hawkes Bay

It was amazing experience we enjoyed our time there, petrina and sid are kind and friendly , the dogs are well behaive flo is playfull and paddy love the company ,we already miss them everything was easy with the instructions of Petrina

Petrina and Sid are really nice people. They offered us to stay one night before and one night after the house sit. And they make us a good diner for both nights. The house is a old farm in renovation but ok. They have a nice garden with lot of fruits that they were happy to share. The dogs, Paddy and Flow are very easy going. It was so nice to take care of them. Feeding the chooks was very simple. We spend a lovely weekend in this house with those cute doggies. And the owners are so generous ... We had an amazing stay here and loved every minute looking after Flo and Paddy, who are such beautiful and characterful dogs who we miss already! The chickens, horses, cows and sheep are low to no maintenance (only had to feed the chickens each day) and made the scenery even more lovely waking up to. Petrina and Sid are so kind and welcoming, they made us feel so at home and communication was great. It’s a lovely place to spend your time relaxing thanks to the beautiful view, starry ... We had a great time at Petrina's place. Flo is a happy ball of energy, and Paddy was shy but sweet. All of the animals were easy to care for with Petrina's instructions. Petrina and Syd were very welcoming to us, and the community was awesome too.

We were welcomed into Petrina and Sid's home with open arms and were made to feel very at home with the dogs Paddy and Flo and the other animals. We enjoyed some amazing hikes nearby at Shine Falls, Bell Rock and they kindly let us use their kayaks on the lake nearby. We also had a spa pool on the sun deck twice during our stay which was lovely. Great people and a lovely way of life. Thank you for letting us stay and we would encourage anyone to go and housesit paddy and flo.

It was such a pleasure house and horse sitting for Petrina in the New year! Very nice location, close to the river and a short drive to the local beach. The horses and the chickens were very well behaved and easy to take care of. I had an awesome experience, Petrina was very kind and a great communicator. We would love to house sit again! I had a really pleasant, peaceful week's 'holiday' here, with all the mandarins and avocados I could eat! Plus I got to enjoy the friendly company of; Flo (the Doberman) and Paddy (the Jack Russell). Loved the views of green fields and hills with pines, with nearby horses and cattle to be seen as well. Good wifi ensures contact with the world even though it is a mobile phone blackspot. Netflix helps too. I did some excellent walks along quiet country roads seeing rural NZ at it's best. ... Petrina is really good at communicating all about the house and animals so I felt well informed about what to do. Would recommend a housesit here so you can just get relaxed (in the spa!), right away from it all for a while.
