We need a house sitter

Due to a family emergency I'd put my travel plans on hold which meant I'd lost the original sitters. I'm back to replanning the trip which means I am shortlisting again if you are interested!

I am going to Australia for a holiday in early April and am looking for awesome house sitter(s) to look after my pets and my home. I tried (and failed!) to coincide dates with my regular house sitters!

The house is a lovely sunny double bay villa in Newtown / Berhampore with a big open plan kitchen, dining, living space; great outside space; and a gorgeous new bathroom. The house sitter gets to stay in the prettiest room in the house with a bay window and a super king bed. There is a bus stop on the corner of the street and it is a short walk down to the Newtown shops, restaurants and Saturday market. It is close to town but with good town belt walks in close proximity.

I have a golden retriever and three burmese cats to keep you company.

You must be confident and experienced with dogs. George is a young golden retriever, He is super laid back, very loving, very social, everyone loves him, but he can very very occasionally be a bit reactive to some other dogs in very very specific scenarios - which can take people by surprise because it is so rare.

Because he is so obedient, easy going, and social most of the time, and gets on so well with other dogs nearly all of the time - it can cause people to be over-relaxed when they are walking him and not apply the same common sense with doggy introductions that you might do with other breeds/dogs - for example avoiding encounters with clearly aggressive dogs.

I also have three burmese cats - all of whom love company.

Ideally I'd like the unicorn sort of person (people?) who are genuinely both dog and cat lovers. The litmus test for the cats is if you are OK for them to sleep on the bed... And like all burmese they are super social and just like to hang out with you. George does not sleep on the bed or get on the furniture.

George's regular dog walkers will be booked in while you are there - but you will need to do a shorter top-up walk! You are also welcome to join in a couple of their walks.
