Von and I have owned our home on Waiheke Island for over 20 years. We enjoy traveling and have house/pet sat during the winter in Australia for the past many winters (except when deterred by Covid). Also, more recently, we've done housesits in New Zealand. Because we travel so often, we don't have a pet at this time. But we love animals and to have the opportunity to take care of them. We have canine and feline friends all over Oz, and some in New Zealand (-:
We're interested in "getting off the rock" for a shortish getaway. Pretty much interested in hearing about any possible opportunity--preferably in the North Island at this point.
We'd be happy to supply additional references (besides the ones on the website) and have a current New Zealand police check. Would love to hear from you!

Jan & Von we’re wonderful house sitters. They took great care of Hamish and took him on lots of fabulous walks. The house was clean and tidy when we got home and they had watered our veg garden. They were very accommodating when we arrived home a day early and even cooked dinner for us that night. We would have no hesitation in recommending Jan & Vin as house sitters.
We were delighted to have Janet and Von house/pet sit for us. Communication was great and they really went out of their way - even replacing a kitchen utensil which had broken as well as leaving extra bits in our pantry. Would highly recommend Janet & Von to house/pet sit for anyone.

What an absolutely wonderful couple!. Janet and Vaughn were just the loveliest couple and took such great care of our fur babies during the week we went away. They communicated well kept us informed through the sit. Our little girl pup Molly was pregnant and Janet was so patient and caring towards her through a few days of morning sickness. Janet and Von stayed at our home over the Christmas period and took amazing care of our two dogs. We very much appreciated the care they took of our home - they left it so beautifully tidy for our return.

We were so delighted to welcome Jan & Von at short notice to sit for us. They were super lovely and took great care of our wee dog, taking her everywhere they went, and cuddling the cats at every opportunity. Our home was well cared for and much enjoyed. Jan and Von were fantastic sitters .. They were friends with our 3 dogs within seconds of them arriving..We came home to very happy and contented animals and would love them to come back at some stage if it suited them . We had great communication and were totally relaxed about them being in our home .They took great care of everything .. It was a shame the Covid level 3 lockdown prevented them from getting around the area..
Jan & Von were fabulous! Very happy with everything, both with communication before hand, and also how they left my place. I came back to my place as I left it, and happy cats the greeted me. I would absolutely recommend.
