I am senior single lady, down to earth, loaded with common sense, (non smoker) who adores cats. and all animals actually, but especially cats. When my children were young we always had dogs and cats and birds.
Now I have a grown family and two lovely grand girls.

My wonderful old cat, Brian, died just over a year ago, and I miss him still. The pain of losing him has been softened with my flatmates lovely tabby cat called Sam . Unfortunately Sam and his owner are moving on now, so I am taking this opportunity to house sit and look after other peoples animals for a while, before I settle down with another cat or little dog to share my life with..

I've never met a cat I didn't like and even the shyest cat usually likes me.

Of course I am available to house sit chickens, birds and fish and rabbits etc. plus I will water your pot plants, gardens and lawns.

My friends often call on me to look after their animals when on holiday.

Shirley was great, we had never left our cat with anyone, and she did a great job. Our house was perfect and she left some extra food out for Paddy (cat) as we were due home late. Thoroughly recommend Shirley for house and Pet sits.

Shirley is an exemplary house sitter. The house was left immaculate and, more importantly, Smokey is happy, healthy, and relaxed. Shirley kindly offered to travel to Dunedin a few weeks before we confirmed the housesit so we were able to meet each other and I could show her the house, which I really appreciated. I returned after two months and found my treasured cat happy and healthy and bonded to Shirley. She is an absolute genuine cat lover and sensitive to their needs. The house was neat and tidy. I would recommend Shirley.

It is great to go away and know that our cat is happy and well cared for. Everything in the house was tidy and nice to come home to. I would definitely recommend Shirley.

Shirley has been great at communication and made things easy by being willing to visit prior to the sit. While this was a short stint of only two nights we are more than happy with Shirley's help and would welcome her back.

Shirley looked after our two cats and one was ill and she communicated with us very well whilst we were away. She stayed with us between house sits and she was easy to get on with and fitted in well. We would recommend Shirley for future house sits. Shirley house sat for us for 17 days in total during February and March 2020

We were confident that Shirley would be great with our cats from our first meeting. She sent us confirmation that she'd arrived, and let us know the cats were fine. She also contacted us about return, just so everything was clear. Shirley is wonderful, she's kind, left the house beautifully clean and didn't panic when the cats brought in a bird overnight. We would have her back in a heartbeat, although we might have to get in the queue behind all the other people who value her help.

Very please with Shirley came home to 2 wee dogs very happy .was just great to go away and that they were able to stay in there own home with a lovely lady looking after then. We had a great experience with having Shirley house/cat sit for us. She kindly agreed to meet us beforehand, and I felt very comfortable with her immediately. I knew that our cat would be well taken care of. When we arrived home, the house was very tidy, and Shirley had even stripped the bed and washed her sheets. The cat was not excited to see us at all, after almost 3 weeks away, so we can only assume that she liked Shirley very much :) We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking ... MORE
