We are a semi retired, mature, fully vaccinated couple who, once upon a time, enjoyed travelling the world, exploring new places and meeting new people. Mike and I are from Christchurch where we lived until the earthquake in 2010 destroyed our home and business. We decided to "pack up" in 2012 and take time out in Europe where we became "housesitters". We returned to NZ in late 2016 and now offer to look after your home and pets while YOU are away..
Why we want to house sit
We view it as an honour to be allowed to take care of your home and precious pets. We love dogs & cats and look after them and your home as if it was our own. We enjoy the experience of seeing places as a local and we value the opportunity to provide our service while you're away on holiday or business
Our experience
We, as past home and pet owners, know how important it is to feel confident that everything is taken care of while you are away. I am a Community support worker with Healthvision while Mike has over 30 years in property and garden maintenance. We are experienced in House and Pet sitting and have both also worked for the Red cross as domestic and household assistants. As past home&dog owners we have many years of experience in caring for our own properties and dealing with issues as they arise and have the ability to troubleshoot in emergencies. Please contact us as we would love to give you peace of mind that your home, pets and property are in safe, experienced hands while you are away.

Sabine and mike were just incredible pet and house sitters! Amazing communication from the beginning and we were totally at ease with leaving our dog Ellie with them. They were also very attentive to all of Ellie’s needs and we received lots of lovely updates about her day while we were away.
On return we came home to a very happy dog and a spotless home. Would highly recommend them!

Mike and Sabine house sat and took care of our 2 elderly burmese cats (Max and Cilla) for 8 weeks while we were in Europe.
Frome the very first time we met them, we connected, and knew they would be the right choice in our absence.
