We are healthy, fit and active, love the outdoors, love all animals, enjoy gardening and having things looking nice. House proud, enjoy the fine things in life & cooking and entertaining. We both enjoy golf, fishing and experiencing new challenges. Married for 40 years and live in a beautiful beach location in NZ. We have raised a big family of five boys and one girl, who are now aged between 31 and 42, living across Australia and New Zealand.
We now look forward to many new experiences & opportunities house-sitting for others, caring for their properties and pets as we would our own.
Sheryl loves caring for her pets, that have consisted of many dogs (most rescued from animal shelters), cats, which have adopted us or have been given to us, and an old horse that was in very poor health she nursed back to health to live a longer happy life. She enjoys cooking and is very house proud. Manages a beach holiday home that sleeps sixteen; managing bookings, cleaning between guests, arranging bedding configurations and organising any necessary function. Is very friendly & enjoys meeting new people.
Jim is active and enjoys gardening and working outdoors. He enjoys the maintenance side of property management; is a good handyman who can solve most household mechanical, plumbing and minor electrical problems. Dedicated fan of rugby and most sports and likes nothing better than a barbecue with family and friends.

Jim and Sheryl were amazing housesitters for us while we had a long anticipated holiday out of Auckland. The fish were happy, the lawns were happy, they kept in touch throughout and when we returned the house was sparkling clean which was an unexpected bonus. We were quite apprehensive about using the service, essentially leaving our house and personal possessions with people we didn't know, but it worked out really well. Highly recommend Jim and Sheryl for housesits.

We cannot believe how lucky we were when Jim and Sheryl confirmed to sit amongst Covid lockdowns and subsequent holiday date changes happening almost daily.
Communication was so important as our pooch Lucy is an anxious one but both communication and the her care was exceptional. We had no concerns at all as we received photos and updates from Sheryl. This was so much appreciated.

Sheryl and Jim did a fabulous job caring for our home, gardens and lawns. I was kept up to date at least every week with a text and photos. My neighbour also advised me that Sheryl and Jim worked very hard maintaining our lawns and gardens.
They planted summer veggie crops which were thriving upon our return. Our hedges were trimmed regularly, lawns mowed weekly and the weeding was done regularly.
Our outdoor patio was clean and tidy and all my autumn planted flowering pots were still ... MORESheryl and Jim did a fabulous job caring for our home, gardens and lawns. These guys looked after my home for a few days in 2019. In this time, they looked after my home, and dog (a very nervous Bull Arab cross Great Dane). My dog was well cared for and she was happy and healthy when I returned.
They are very reliable and have great communication. Everything either was as good as I left it or even better (most things were better)! They did everything that was asked of them, and went above and beyond by doing a bit of much needed gardening.

James put my battery back in the car, so that I could drive immediately.
Sheryl left fresh produce for me and a frozen dinner.

I needed a last minute house sit and put the call out. James and Sheryl got in touch and I'm so so glad they did. I couldn't have asked for anyone better. They were the most amazing people to have look after my 2 cats and my home. They kept me updated on the cats behaviour and various things relating to the house which helped me relax while I was away knowing everything was being looked after.
