Remote Based Transcriptionist

We are are a professional couple whose youngest flew the nest almost a year ago. We are currently searching for the perfect piece of rural land upon which to build another home. We love animals and have first hand experience with cats, dogs, birds and horses. Both of us are also part time professional musicians so there's a definite likelihood that your pets will be serenaded from time to time!
Christian: I am currently working as a Software Support technician but have worked as a gardener, IT Specialist, teacher and massage therapist operating from the clinic Anaia and I ran for 8 years. My family has always had animals - mostly dogs and cats. I was born in England and moved here as a child to Canterbury where orphan lambs were quickly added to the list of animals we cared for. I also learned to ride when I was six and still enjoy my interactions with horses.
At the age of 15 my family got the opportunity to live on Tiritiri Matangi Island in the Hauraki Gulf as part of the DOC team replanting native plants and repopulating the island with native birdlife. During this time I also hand and machine milked cows and helped to rehab a native kereru.
Anaia: I'm currently working transcribing audio files for an Australian based company. I have also worked as an estate agent for 10 years, have nursing experience as a high needs care worker and am a trained massage therapist (Christian and I met doing our diplomas in holistic massage therapies 27 years ago!).
My family has also always had cats and dogs and I'm particularly fond of Tonkinese cats after a neighbour's Tonk decided to include our house as an alternate home. Since then we've had Tonks of our own.
When the kids were little we also puppy walked for the Blind Foundation which was hugely rewarding.
We are very tidy and friendly and will look after your home with the same loving respect we have given our own homes.

Christian & Anaia did a fantastic job caring for my home & many pets, ( cats, dog ,chickens , birds & hens) while I was away for a week, my springer spaniel Midgley frequented the dog park daily & enjoyed the many puddles to wallow in, he was bathed when needed & got lots of cuddles, the cats got there share of pats, both the dog & cats seemed very contented when I got home & I think Midgley missed them after they went, he spent a bit of time on their bed mourning their departure. We are so grateful to have Anaia and Christian to look after our pets and home while we were away. We got regular messages with photos and videos of our pets. When we got home a meal was ready for us and the house and gardens was just as we left them. Thank you both. We would love to have you back again and we hope you enjoyed staying at our little bit of paradise.

We couldn't have asked for better sitters! They were amazing at keeping the house spotless and on top of the garden which was a complete bonus! The chickens and dogs looked like they were having a vacation as much as us and we can tell the dogs miss them! If we go away again then we pray that anaia and Chris can look after our home and animals again!

Christian and Aniaia house sat for us for four weeks and clearly our dogs were extremely well looked after, they were even looking for them after they left. They sent us regular videos and photos with regular contact of how things were going. They even cooked us dinner and soup for our return after our long journey which was very welcoming and delicious. We would happily recommend them and will definitely be using them again.

We would highly recommend Christian and Anaia as house/pet sitters, they are extremely lovely people. They left our house spotless, took amazing care of our animals (we can tell the fur babies miss them). Communication was excellent pre, during and post the stay. The highlight for us was coming home to a beautifully prepared meal for us, it was delicious and nice to not have to think about preparing something. We will be reaching out to them to sit for us again.

Christian and Anaia looked after our animals really well and contacted us to let us know how they were getting on (with pictures). I really appreciate the good communication - very reassuring as I wasn't sure how our dog would respond to being looked after. The house was neat and tidy when we got back, with a card and a meal cooked for us - really appreciated after coming back from overseas. Definitely recommended and I hope to use them again in the future.

I felt very comfortable with Christian and Anaia taking care of my fur babies and my home. Both were gentle but confident and my boy Smokie clearly fell in love with these 2! They sent me a daily photo or 2 of the walks they went on down at the beach which was so reassuring for me. When I arrived home the house was clean and tidy and I noticed they'd tidied up the back garden area which I hadn't managed to get to for a few months.
