PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DON'T HAVE A CAR AND ARE RELIANT ON PUBLIC TRANSPORT. WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO GET TO YOU AND THE SHOPS BY BUS, TRAIN OR FOOT UNLESS A CAR IS PROVIDED.
We have been house sitting full time for over eight years now in Australia, NZ, Switzerland and the UK, which includes summer months one year looking after six campsites in the South Island of NZ for the Dept. of Conservation during which time we lived in a tent which was interesting! We've had the enjoyment of over 120 sits in that period many of which were repeats for which we didn't require references after the initial sit.
Most of our sitting has been done through another site as we needed sits in the UK. We would be happy to send you a link to our profile there where you will find over 8O five star reviews. You will also find recent reviews on Aussie House Sitters.
Our aim is to give you peace of mind whilst you are away and you will find that we communicate well, are reliable, totally trustworthy, flexible and competent to deal with any situation that might arise.

We are both Australian although Tony, who is 76, emigrated from the UK in 1970. Lyn is 77 and a true, blue Aussie, born in the bush. We are both active and have successfully experienced a wide variety of house sitting situations. Tony is a retired pastor and bus driver etc. and Lyn has retired from her job in a Christian College in charge of the sick bay (600 secondary school students). Before retiring we rented for over 30 years always with good references and know how to care for other peoples property. During our marriage of 40 years we have owned and loved a variety of animals - dogs, cats, birds, cows, chickens (and children!). We are non smokers, definitely not party animals (in bed by 10pm even on New Year's Eve!).
We have three children, all married, and six grandchildren, the oldest is in the Navy, two at University, one working and the other two are still at school.
Our interests are walking, reading, music (Tony plays guitar, Lyn listens!), animals, gardening, house sitting and the opportunity to help people. We find the variety of house sitting exciting and look for the opportunity to be trusted and, in return, be trustworthy.
We are both non-smokers and fully vaccinated against covid.
Tony and Lyn looked after my bull terrier, Bella, for a week while I was on holiday,. They kept me updated with photographs of Bella and messages regarding how she was going. I returned home to a spotless house, healthy plants and a very happy Bella. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone requiring a pet/house sitter and I would definitely use them again if they were available.
Tony and Lyn looked after our house and very precious cat Ughy for almost 2 weeks. Even before they arrived, Tony and Lyn were in contact regarding details about Ughy and the house sit. While we were away, they regularly sent through photographs of Ughy at various times of the day – all the time showing how relaxed he was. Tony and Lyn looked after my house, garden and cat very well and I appreciated them keeping in touch during the sit. Their attitude is very professional. My cat was happy which meant I could relax and enjoy my holiday. I found them delightful to deal with and recommend them highly.

Lyn & Tony stayed in our home and looked after our two cats Maple & Lily whilst we were in Bali for 3 weeks. They were both amazing. They kept in contact with us and sent photos to keep our minds at ease. Upon return, the house was spotless and the garden and pool had been well cared for. Tony & Lyn looked after our home, garden and two cats while we were overseas for six weeks. From the initial contact communication was consistently clear and regular, especially through the critical stage leading up to us leaving, them settling in, and then the handover.

Tony and Lyn looked after our home for 7 weeks and I would not hesitate to recommend then for any house sitting they would apply for. Molly our cat was well looked after and so was our home. It makes going away easy when you have such wonderful and trustworthy people in your home.
It was a joy to have Tony and Lyn sit for us, they did such a wonderful job of looking after our house and two fur babies whilst we were away for a week. They were so easy going and great communicators. We came home to happy spoilt pets and a super clean and tidy house. I hope our dates align again for another sit and would highly recommend.
Lyn and Tony are terrific communicators, which put me at ease during both the lead-up to the sit, and during their stay. I came home to a tidy house and happy pets. They are very experienced and clearly enjoy their time in different places.

Lyn and Tony were fantastic, we could not recommend them highly enough. There was an incident with our kitty and they were amazing and calm and kept us informed. We felt very at ease the whole time we were away that everything was being well looked after at home which helped to give us a great vacation. Much appreciated.
First time using Aussie House Sitters and Tony & Lyn made it a wry pleasant experience. My house was well maintained, neat and tidy on my return and my puppy dog was well cared for and looked after. He was extremely relaxed and happy on our return.

Thank you to Tony and Lyn, they did a wonderful job of looking after Noah and the house for seven days. Very considerate people, communicated really well. Noah, our cat, who is normally very shy, warmed up to them. We couldn't have been happier, and 100% recommend them to anyone seeking a housesitter.
Make sure the garden and pot plants are thriving when you get back - get a house sitter.
