We are a retired , active, non-smoking couple who have been home and pet owners for over 25 years, so we understand that looking after your home and pets is very important to you while you are absent.
Previously we have cared for friends' dogs in our own home and maintained their routines as much as possible.
While you are away we will ensure that your home is well looked after and keeps up the appearance of being occupied, and are happy to send photos and information about your pets while they are in our care.
We are both currently Police vetted.
We have both been double vaccinated against Covid-19 and also had 3 boosters each.
We are interested in doing Housesitting to explore different areas of New Zealand.
We spend December and January at home.

Dave and Lea have recently completed a 3 week sit for us with 2 dogs, 2 donkeys, hens and bees. They are friend,y, practical people, who arrived on time and were thorough in working through the various details of our pets and home. We felt completely confident leaving our home with them, and this was justified as we came home to a spotless, tidy and well cared for home and very calm and contented animals. Thanks to you both - much appreciated!

It's been a delight having Dave and Lea looking after my home, Bobbin, Finn, and Frodo. I could relax while I was away, knowing everything was in good hands. The house was very clean and tidy on my return, thank you. I would definitely recommend Dave and Lea to others considering them as house sitters.

We hit the jackpot when David & Lea came to house/pet-sit for us recently. They left the house in an immaculate condition and our cat had been extremely well cared for. This is the first time we had used Kiwi Housesitters and our expectations were exceeded. We are so appreciative to have had them care for our pet and house. Many thanks and I hope we have the opportunity to engage with them again! Cannot recommend them highly enough.

We were lucky to get David & Lea to look after our farmlet whilst we were away for our Wedding Anniversary. They looked after our house, two dogs, one cat, five chickens plus look after my greenhouse seedlings. David & Lea even offered to stay an extra night to look after our place when our flight was delayed in Rarotonga. We cannot recommend them highly enough, we feel very grateful that they looked after our precious animals so well.

David and Lea were excellent house sitters and we highly recommended them. They looked after our 2 dogs cat and fish which included walking the dogs each day. Prompt communication prior to the house sit and they kept us updated while we were on holiday. On our return home, the house was immaculate. We were very impressed and we would love to have them back the next time we go on holiday.

Dave and Lea are a very friendly, kind and accommodating couple that I would definitely recommend as house/pet sitters! My two elderly pets were very well cared for - and when I arrived home they were relaxed and happy! My home was also exceptionally clean ..... and Dave very kindly offered to drive us to the airport and collect us .... Thank you so much Dave and Lea - I felt that Bailey and Kitty were in safe hands while I was away.... and I appreciated your regular communications!

We would highly recommend David and Lea. We felt very comfortable leaving our chickens and garden in their care. The house was immaculate when we returned after 7 days and the chickens and garden were well cared for.

Dave and Lea looked after our elderly, anxious, arthritic fox terrier with the utmost care. We came home to a very happy, relaxed dog who had quite clearly had a wonderful time. The house was immaculate and the communication excellent. We loved getting the photo update.

I can't speak highly enough of Dave and Lea. They did an amazing job of looking after our schnauzers (the twins), who were very comfortable around them and happy when we got home. Dave and Lea obviously got the know the twins well during their stay as they knew all about their characters and personalities when we got back. The house was immaculate when we got back too. Dave and Lea really surpassed all expectations we had when we first looked at using this website. I'd have no reservations ... MORE
