I am a retired Veterinarian, now housesitting - currently on Kapiti Coast.

I spent 14 of the past 22 years in the UK where I completed multiple housesits both for friends and through Trustedhousitters.com where I have multiple great references. For most of the last 8 years I was located in Levin to support my elderly parents (now both deceased).

Prior to leaving for the UK, we had a lifestyle block with farmer neighbours and I have owned numerous pets and farm animals over the years - hence I have hands-on farm and small animal experience both as a Veterinarian and an owner. I also worked in a zoo for a year many years back.

I am a keen gardener and happy to do gardening and mow lawns. I prefer fast internet access (preferably fibre) as I do some online work.

PS. My favourite dog breed is Newfoundland :) but I have also got to know and love other dogs and cats through my housesitting experiences.

John housesat for us for 5 weeks. We were very pleased when we arrived home to find a tidy house, garden, and the lawns done. Coal our dog enjoyed John's company and attention as well. Communication was excellent. He also took the time to drop us off and pick us up from the airport. We fully recommend John as a house sitter.

John house-sat for us for close to three months and cared for our labrador, whilst we were overseas. We came home to a clean house and a happy contented dog. John was great and was selected by us as he had high recommendations on this site, after sitting for us we agree with those previous recommendations, as he was excellent.
