About Tom & Julie:
We are Tom and Julie, a married couple from Nelson, New Zealand. We are at a point in our lives where we now have more time and fewer commitments. We are keen to discover new places and have fresh experiences and adventures through house-sitting, enabling us to make new friends. Both of us are easy going, friendly and enjoy meeting people. For the past thirty years, Julie has been a school teacher for children with special needs and Tom was a Senior Sergeant in the New Zealand Police and both are now retired. We are both very fit and healthy and are non smokers. We are animal lovers and all our lives have owned and cared for dogs and cats.

Why we want to house sit:
We no longer have pets of our own and miss the companionship of animals, so enjoy looking after other people's pets. We also love travel at a relaxed pace and the opportunity it gives us to experience different places and cultures.

Our experience:
To date we have completed a number of pet sits in New Zealand, Canada, Ireland and the UK. We have references for these pet sits on another pet sitting site as well as character references. If you require more information we can direct you to this site.

We are honest, trustworthy and reliable. We have owned a number of houses and a rental property, so are well aware of the respect and responsibilities associated with living in someone's home. Our common sense and experience has given us the skills to deal with most eventualities whilst recognising when to call on the professionals for both the pet or the home. We are ready and willing to listen and to learn new skills to provide an excellent service. We will take genuine pleasure in looking after and caring for your pets, as if they were our own.
