ABOUT US:

Kia ora! We are reliable full-time housesitters who work from home and would love to care for your pets.

I'm a 39-year-old Canadian freelance journalist and my partner Keilie is 40, Australian, and works in tourism. Combined, we have extensive experience in working with and caring for animals, managing accommodation (including in rural areas) and housesitting. We are currently saving money to someday buy our own home and housesitting is helping us work towards this goal.

Since we both work from home, we will have plenty of time to keep your pets company, take them for walks (we are both active and love to get outdoors every day), and manage any other yard or house-care duties. We also have experience dealing with larger dogs and pets that have anxiety or require medication. Finally, we're both exceptionally clean and tidy individuals.

In addition to the reviews posted on our profile, we are happy to provide additional housesit, professional or character references. Police clearances are also available upon request.

After 2.5 years in New Zealand, we're now based in Australia, but keep this account active with hopes of returning to Aotearoa soon.

We can't speak highly enough of the wonderful job that Jessica and Keilie did for us over the four weeks we were away. The house was kept immaculately and our little dog was obviously well loved, well walked and in great shape. Jess and Keilie were easy to get to know and so very reliable and trustworthy. Jessica is a 5 star house and pet sitter. She arrived the day before giving us all the time needed to share all things off grid, dogs and local area. She communicated excellently and if unsure or needed some clarification, she asked, which we loved. We were so lucky to have Keilie and Jess look after Blue & Oscar! Communication was great before and during the sit - lots of photos and videos of our boys. They were well looked after and we came home to happy, relaxed and exercised dogs. The house was super clean - our cleaner didn't have to do much! Jessica and Keilie were awesome!!! They arrived to one cat with an abscess and another who had licked a patch raw; it wasn't how I dreamed of leaving my fur babies. They were fantastic. Jessica and Keily were excellent housesitters! They are both really friendly and competent and took excellent care of our rambunctious dog, old cat and two constantly hungry donkeys. They were so good about letting us know what was going on and looked after our pets' welfare. Our house was clean and tidy as well. We enjoyed their company and would not hesitate to have them back.

Jessica & Keilie were an absolute pleasure to have in my home & looking after my highly energetic, lovable young dog. They communicated readily & easily & sent photos & regular updates while I was away. The house was immaculate when I returned & Max looked happy & had obviously been so well looked after. I would totally recommend these lovely girls as house sitters & would welcome them back at any time.

Jessica and Keilie were fabulous housesitters, my home was immaculate when I returned. Most important to me is that they really bonded with my furbabies and sent me regular updates of their adventures with poppy. They kindly watered the garden and kept all my seedlings alive! I know they clicked n/a for garden care, but our 10 year old twins had just planted seedlings as we left and we came back to several sprouts, so we are giving 5 stars! GREAT JOB! They both took it in their stride the challenge of living off grid in a tiny house with no worries and even took real great care of my mother's yard next door.
