My name is Nicky and I describe myself as friendly, reliable, punctual, respectful and totally committed to whatever it is I am undertaking.
Early in my career I was a Secondary School teacher followed by 20 years serving as a Police Constable in various roles. Recently I have spent 6 years as a casual/on call relief employee at a Pre-School Day Care.
I have farming experience from a 4 year Sharemilking contract followed by 20 years living and working a 30 hectare lifestyle block.
For 3 years I have welcomed guests into my apartment on ABnB. I have attained a Superhost status indicating my dedication to presenting a very clean, tidy and appealing accomodation option.
My hobbies include keeping fit with gym classes, paddle boarding, mountain biking, tramping, skiing and gardening.
I have friends whom I house sit for where there is animals that require my attention.
I am currently living full time in a self contained camper van and wish to make myself available to house sit, particularly in country areas.
I will be leaving the North Island at the end of September 2023 and headed to the South Island. I would be available to H/ Sit again from the beginning of November 2023.

Nicky looked after our two fur babies like they were her own while we were away. She kept great contact with us both before and during the house sit, and it was lovely to have extra time with her where we got to know her a bit for a day or so before we left her to it. Nicky is very engaging with both humans and animals, and easy to warm to. Chester our dog loved her and keeps looking for her now she has left for her next sit! This is the second time that Nicky has looked after our home and animals which includes two dogs, five chickens, four cows, ten sheep and three turtles. Nicky is a great communicator, she kept us informed whilst we were away, left our home extremely clean and tidy and took care of our garden. We would be happy to have her house sit again and can provide further references if required.

A great priviledge to be asked to take care of this delightful lifestyle block and the various animals. Bentley and Bisou make each day fun times and trips to Pahi for walks and swims a daily highlight. Always happy to return for another H/Sit at this favourite location.
Nicky is a very pleasant and responsible person. She took care of our home, our dogs and farm animals extremely well and was very nice to deal with. We would certainly love to have her back again sometime if she was in the area. We thoroughly recommend her.

Nicky is the perfect house sitter and such a lovely soul. you really couldn't ask for anything more or anyone better. We were stranded and she stayed and extra 2 days till we got home and all our creatures were so content and the house was well cared for. I can't really speak highly enough of her. Anyone who has Nicky staying to care for their house and pets is a lucky person indeed !
