We are a married couple (31yrs), recently retired. We made the smart decision a number of years ago to combine our love of travel and animals and become international house sitters. This adventure has taken us to Australia, Sth Korea, UK, Spain, Turkey and around our home country, New Zealand.
Animals we have cared for include - cats, dogs, ponies, donkeys, goats, sheep, cows, chickens, fish, ducks, guinea pigs and one very large snake.
As with all aspects of life, house and pet sitting can throw up surprises and we have had experience in caring for injured and sick animals. We have administered medications (eye creams, tablets, paw and nose ointments etc) as directed by their owners.
Our love of walking and the outdoors has held us in good stead with pet sitting as the majority of the animals we have cared for have been dogs of various sizes and fitness levels. Added to this, is the fact that, as we do not have work commitments, we are available to keep your pets company for the vast majority of the sit.
We are non smokers who will care for your home to a high standard while you enjoy your time away.
We sold our home in Wyuna Bay in Coromandel at the end of 2022 and we purchased a property in Waimate August 2023 which we've finished renovating.
Your pets and home will be in caring hands under our watch as our references testify.
Deb and Nige were great with our 2x dogs and 1x 4month old puppy.
They are experienced sitters going by their tips and requests.
Good communication with regular photo updates of our furbabies were much appreciated.
Daily walks for the 2x dogs (puppy wasn't old enough yet) and kept them company practically 24hrs a day which was wonderful.
They kept the inside of the house neat and tidy too, thank you.

We were very privileged to have Nigel & Deborah take care of our animals and lifestyle block for 3 days over Easter.
They were an absolute delightful to deal with.
We arrived home to find an immaculate home, cattle moved, and cats and dogs happy. Our 3 Golden Retrievers had been thoroughly spoilt.

We were greeted by happy, healthy and well groomed dogs. The house and garden were fantastic. In the house we found a beautiful cake awaiting us and many treats in the fridge and freezer. This was our first experience with kiwi house sitters and Deb and Nigel have set the bar exceptionally high! It was such a nice homecoming after being away ten weeks. Deb and Nigel were a pleasure to deal with and Spud was sad to see them leave. House was immaculate when we came back, as was the garden (which they were not asked to care for) and they are very friendly and personable. We would totally have them back anytime and will send them pics of Spud :)
Deb and Nigel are experienced, caring and exceptional house sitters making us feel at ease from the start.
They say for us while away overseas for 5 weeks and confidently handled several issues while house sitting for us (some visits to the vets, issues with a tree at the property etc).
Communication was excellent and regular and our two dogs and the house were in great shape when we returned. All had been lovingly cared for.
