Hi!

We're now in our third year as full time house sitters and love traveling all over NZ. It's a big part of our lives so you can be assured we take your trust in us to look after your home and pets seriously. We absolutely love animals and enjoyed house sitting so much back in the UK, even after we bought our own home, that we decided to make it a permanent part of our new life back in NZ in 2021. We've even launched our own website, Bestish Life, to help encourage new house sitters to explore NZ. With us you'll be getting a professional level service with a reliable and personable approach.

House sitting is a great chance to enjoy a variety of communities and within a week of starting our first NZ house sit we've been booked up for the majority of 2022, 2023 and even 2024. We're very experienced, with great references and police checks available upon request, so you can have confidence that you're in good hands to give you peace of mind while on holiiday.

We've looked after various property types before, anything from multi-story homes with gardens and pools, apartments or a secluded colonial era bed and breakfast, all the way to rural lifestyle blocks with farm animals and living partially off grid. Even a remote bach where the closest shop was a kayak across a harbour which was awesome! Since returning to NZ our speciality has been large lifestyle blocks as we love the peace and quiet of the countryside and exploring nature.

We're extremely well organised, tidy, honest, flexible and caring. You can expect to return to your home as clean as you left it (although we try for cleaner! haha) and with very happy pets. We've never pulled out of a sit as we're extremely reliable and the last thing we'd want is for you to have an issue because of us before you go on holiday.

We've house sat for time periods ranging from 2 nights to 6 months but now have a preference to 4+ weeks. While cats are definitely our favourite animals, we've looked after others such as dogs, rabbits, chickens, goats, alpacas, sheep, cows and tortoises. For the right sit, we're open to considering 1 very well behaved dog that's comfortable being left at home for a few hours at a time. We've discovered many parks have banned dogs so it needs to be a special location for us to be flexible with how much exploration we can do.

Experienced in garden and lawn care, spa and pool maintenance, rain and bore water tank system monitoring and pest control. As previous homeowners, we have enough common sense to know when to tackle any maintenance issues which may arise and when to request advice. We're also happy to discuss a turnover service if you operate an active Air BnB on your property. We simply require an unlimited internet connection as we work remotely and off street parking for our car. As non-smokers we're not interested in any sits where you normally smoke indoors.
