I've lived with Zen masters, and most of them have been cats. But all animals can teach us how to live in the present, and love, in their own way.
So I believe.
I'm a tidy mature gentleman. Self-disciplined. Non-smoker.
For twenty years my extended family has enjoyed the service of house sitters. Finally, early in 2023, the opportunity arose to try house and pet sitting myself. It's been most gratifying. And because every experience has been so mutually rewarding, I've been house sitting full time ever since, alternating between repeat bookings and new sits.
Having worked some years as a Hospitality Ambassador in Switzerland, I like to bring that extra touch of professionalism and care into house sitting.
I lived with dogs and cats most of my life. I find dogs to be tremendously giving, but to win cats over really requires meeting them on their own terms. For me, winning the trust and affection of cats is one of life's greatest rewards.
I've had 18 months' experience volunteering with boarding cats at Perth's largest cat shelter - The Cat Haven. So I'm very understanding of their different personalities, joys and stresses. The cat boarding experience taught me that it's a greater gift providing individual care for them at home, rather than putting them into kennels, no matter how professional and loving the staff there are.
In my house sits so far, I've enjoyed looking after cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, guinea pigs, goats, a rabbit, fish and budgies. I've also had experience looking after swimming pools and gardens, working with any special requirements.
I work as a writer, so I enjoy having a quiet place to myself. So if your pets get anxious too long alone, someone will be there to reassure them. And I'm on all the messaging apps, so we'll never be too far away should you experience pet separation anxiety, and I'm happy to send you updates during your time away.

Phillip did an excellent job of both minding our 2 pups and our home. I would have no hesitation in asking him back. Actually we did asked if he could housesit for us again early next year. Unfortunately for us he is not available due to a sit requiring nearly one year. We wish Phillip all the best for the future.
So happy with Phillip! Our two cats, one of which is very timid, took to Phillip immediately. We felt confident the entire time we were away that everything was going well at home. Communication was great with updates as often as we wanted. We arrived home to two very relaxed and happy cats, clearly no anxiety at all, and our home clean and tidy. We hope to have Phillip sit for us again in the future.
Phillip looked after our cat, house and yard superbly. We arrived home to a very clean house and a mowed lawn. Our cat was happy and relaxed and had clearly enjoyed Phillip’s care and attention. We’d love to have him sit for us again.
We arranged to meet Phillip prior to the housesit date as like most people we wanted to reassure ourselves that our property and particularly our dog would be cared for in our absence. He was friendly, interested in our holiday plans and asked all the right questions. During his five week stay he kept in regular contact with us, sending photos of our beloved dog and without any issues coming up. Phillip was so wonderful with my furry baby. Only gone for 11 days and she looks out the door waiting for him. Want to go away in between Phillips bookings, so book early my friends. Such a wonderful house sitter.
Our (quite particular!) felines clearly recognised a kindred spirit in Phillip, Our younger dog, though, had never experienced us going away. But you know how they are from looks, posture, behaviour and Phillip's photos and descriptions revealed them to be just fine!

We have been lucky enough to have Phillip look after our two cats, Neville and Callie once again. Once again, the only evidence of his stay is the two happy cats. He cares for them with love and respect whilst here, and prioritises play just as much as food and water. I feel completely confident and comfortable with Phillip house sitting. He provides the ultimate level of peace of mind.

Phillip is a wonderful person and an outstanding house sitter. Our house is so perfectly clean, the only evidence we can find of his stay is our two very happy cats.

Phillip is the type of sitter you come to this website for. We were immediately confident that the house and more importantly, our pet, were in very good hands. And indeed they were.
