We're a pleasant and reliable german couple in our late 40s and self employed. We are pet loving, non-smoking vegetarians with years of experience with cats and dogs as well as the occasional farm animal.
As we live in a house of our own we are familiar with all duties around a property and at least one of us loves gardening :)
We travel New Zealand on a regular base for a few months each year (to avoid the German wintertime), made a lot of friends all over both Islands and found house sitting is our preferred way to get to know this wonderful country - places, people and all.

We were absolutely privileged to have Nancy & Florian house sit for us they took care of the daily running of our lifestyle block including our cows, chickens, veggie garden, pot plants and two dogs one being a 6 month old puppy so they certainly had their hands full.
We had regular video clips & pictures of the dogs having fun or just simply relaxing, it made being away from home so much more comforting and took any glimpse of worry away knowing that everything was left in the very capable & ... Had the dogs been given the chance they would have happily hopped into their car as we said our goodbyes
I would highly recommend these guys, they are fun and thorough, I would certainly have them back if they were keen to take on the workload again :)

We would not hesitate to recommend Florian and Nancy as house sitters. They took excellent care of the property, animals and gardens. Their communication before,during and after the sit was excellent. And more importantly they coped very well with unexpected situations, including taking one of our dogs to the vet to get a grass seed removed, and tricky situations with our water pumps. It really helps when you arrive home to a very clean house, well manicured lawns, and happy animals!!

We returned from holiday into very 'strange days' of self isolation, and then lockdown, and huge uncertainty in particular ... MORENancy & Florian looked after our home, our 3 attention seeking dogs and our cat for 2 weeks while we were out of the country in March 2020. Nancy and Florian looked after our three show dogs (2 retired) - and our house and garden from 15th January 2017 until 1st March 2017.
We have nothing but praise for them both. It was obvious the dogs loved them both. They had been so well cared for, they had been walked regularly, groomed and fed exactly to the book. Our house was spotless and the gardens well watered and cared for. It was wonderful to come home - and not have to do anything - it had all been done!!
