Hello, my name is Marike. I live in Christchurch and have been looking after animals and homes for the past four years with happy results for all! You are welcome to contact me and get in touch with any of my past housesits.

I've looked after homes with both cats and dogs and have taken care of gardens and lawns. I love animals and grew up with several pets: dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, chooks, rodents and more.

I enjoy time at home and will give your animals lots of attention. I also like going for walks to unwind, around the block or in the hills, as well as spending time relaxing with friends. I'm conscientious and like to keep things clean and tidy.

I work as an architectural designer, and also part-time on my own design work.

This was the second time Marieke had done a house sit for me. Jimi and Harley love her! I always come home to a tidy house and very happy pets. Marieke is great with communication and sends regular updates and pictures while I'm away. I would highly recommend Marieke as a very reliable, caring and trustworthy house sitter. I'll be hoping she's available again next time I need someone!

Marike sat our cottage and chickens for a period of 4 winter months, this gave us great peace of mind during our absence. She looked after our property extremely well throughout, keeping us fully informed of any issues as they occurred. Marike is a reliable and caring house sitter. We were away for nearly 5 weeks and came home to a lovely clean house and very happy dog. Marike looked after our house and pets for us when we went overseas for 4 weeks in February. She is genuine, capable, trustworthy and reliable and looked after Max so well that he didn't really seem bothered when we arrived home. She had a lovely meal prepared for us on our return and the house was clean and tidy. I have no hesitation in recommending Marike as a house sitter.
