65, Self Employed
Working from home, and living and travelling full time in my caravan for 5 years now.
I used to work in a corporate position in tertiary education. but have left that when I decided to become a full-time nomad.
I enjoy nature and the simplicity of a mostly off-grid lifestyle. I like cooking with my sun stove on sunny days. Sightseeing is what attracts me most to the lifestyle.
I have grown up on a farm and love animals, especially cats.
When I worked in corporate, I was away from home for many hours a day, so I always thought it would be unfair to the cat to get one. Fortunately, my neighbour's cat visited often.
Now that I live a nomadic lifestyle, the one downside is that once again I believe my lifestyle makes it unfair to the cat to get one as a travel companion. I decided to compensate for this one thing I find missing in my chosen lifestyle by house-sitting for cats whenever there is an opportunity.
I love all animals and I enjoy interacting with them and looking after them, but I am unlikely to accept a sitting opportunity if there isn't at least one cat in the mix.
I have an online business, which requires a few hours of work each day, so I need good internet access. It also means that I am "at home" most of the time.
I don't drink or smoke, and prefer living a quiet and peaceful life.
Currently, I am in the South Island, and at the moment I am only looking for opportunities in the South island.
