Hi, my name is Ingrid. I was born in The Netherlands. And have been living and working in beautiful New Zealand since 2000. My children have all grown up now and are living on their own. Our parents had a dairy farm, together with my brothers and sisters we were fortunate to have the daily enjoyment growing up, of playing with and caring for: cats, dogs, cows, calves, pony's, horses, rabbits, hares, pigeons, goats, guinea fowls, chickens, parakeets, gold fish and pigs. I am a quiet healthy person who likes being in the outdoors. I have no criminal background, am non smoking, no drugs, no alcohol. Now that I have extra time on my hands I would love to travel around and help people out caring for their beloved pets, home, garden etc. I house-pet-sit for people who are travelling and need someone to live in their home while they are away. I care for their furry family members so they don,t have to be left in a kennel or burden a neighbour or friend with their upkeep and also to keep the home lived in so that it won't be a burglary target. I can exersize your dogs, groom your cats, talk to your parrots, water your plants and garden, keeping the premises neet and tidy, keep your house clean etc. And provide a continuous presence to deter burglars. I have my own car so there,s no need to provide transport for me ( but i can start your car regularly to keep it running smoothly ). Your fur babies welfare is my number one priority and i will ensure they are well-loved and looked after during your absence. I can update you regularly as often as you prefer, with email, SMS, WhatsApp etc. as to their well being. Upon your return you will find your pets and your home in the same, or better condition as you left. I give you the peace of mind to truly enjoy your time away. I love all sorts of animals and have experience with different species, and always worked and cared for them one way or the other. As i have grown up and often worked on farms, i am familiar and confident with the ins and outs of pets and larger animals ( livestock ) giving medication if needed. My job's involved being a nanny, working in the hunting stables in Exmoor GB : grooming, training, feeding and hunting, looking after the children and the house and surroundings, preparing dishes for dinner guests etc. Vegetable store, Pet shop. Pharmacy. Town Hall Clerk. Farm Manager. Independent AI contractor. AI breeding consultant. First Aid Level 1 and 2. Drivers license and Dangerous Goods drivers license. I have references to back up. 10+ REASONS you will love me as your next house sitter : i am a happy animal loving, caring, respectful, honest, loyal, discrete, responsible, reliable, conscientious, tidy, self sufficient, organised, and a good communicator. I am a active person and like walking in all kinds of weather, so if your dog needs lots of exercise I'll be most happy to take him/her for as many walks as they like/need. I feel comfortable in both rural settings as well as in the city, have had multiple ( 55 ) house sits with happy owners/pets + good reviews. Once again Ingrid has gone above and beyond to look after our cat and our property.
The house was immaculate on our return. The pool was attended to and the grounds were left very tidy even after the cyclone.
Her majesty the cat was spoilt and mostly happy to see us once Ingrid had left.

Ingrid took care of my two cats for 5 nights. The cats were very happy to have her stay, and were completely relaxed and content on my return. The house looked immaculate.

Ingrid was an absolutely wonderful sitter! This was our first time leaving our cat Harry for a week. He means a lot to us so we were a bit nervous about leaving him, but Ingrid gave us the confidence to enjoy our holiday knowing that Harry was in good hands! It was lovely to meet Ingrid before we left for our holiday and was confident all would be well in her care, as it was. Ingrid has a way with animals and bonded really well with our cat, who is quite timid with strangers. She was also happy to feed our wild birds. Our home was spotless when we returned, everything looking great, and a happy cat. We would highly reccommend Ingrid and would have her back again.
Ingrid looked after our house beautifully and we returned to a house more sparkly clean then it has ever been and with everything in place. Lily was content and happy, Ingrid sent us updates and pictures showing that she and Lily were good friends, Thank you Ingrid and we would be very happy if you would sit for us another time!
Ingrid was recently our housesitter for 5 months, caring for our house and gardens and providing security for our property.
We came home to an immaculate house and well tended gardens. It was clear Ingrid had done a lot more than was required of her and we are grateful for her care and attention.

Once again I and my two cats had the pleasure of Ingrid house sitting. Ingrid as always does the unexpected. This time she cleared parts of my drive and the foliage obstructing an external stairway. Ingrid does these things of her own volition which makes for a wonderful surprise. My cats are always so relaxed upon my return so I know they receive lots of affection. Thankyou Ingrid xx

She keeps us up to date with the pets activity, tends the garden and looks after our home.

Ingrid is absolutely marvellous on this sit I had to return early due to illness which made it difficult for Ingrid who then had to find another sit at short notice. She did this with grace and cleaned my windows, weeded my garden unrequested. Such a great sitter I will continue to book her and my two cats just love her.
Ingrid is a gem.
She did everything to look after our pets ,house and gardens.
We cannot fault her and that is why she is so hard to get as a sitter. 5 stars on all is valid in every way and we hope we can have her stay in the future.

Ingrid took care of my home and cat, for a three month period. My home was well looked after and Moshe the cat also, it was truly lovely to come home and find a happy contented cat and an immaculate home. Thank you again for taking such good care of everything in my absence.
What more can we say. Ingrid lived up to her review rating in every way. We met her ,instantly liked her and went away feeling very confident. We were really happy to return to our house grounds and pets all looking loved.

Ingrid house sat my cats late May early June. This sit was outside her usual longer sits so I was very grateful to her for agreeing to my short sit. She arrived the night before because I was flying out at 7am. I returned to happy cats and a house tidier than she found it. I would fully recommend this charming woman.
It was comforting to go on holiday knowing that Ingrid had a wealth of House Sitting experience. Her confidence in caring for the calves, steer, goats, and chickens was excellent together with her willingness to keep us informed at all times. I would highly recommend Ingrid as a very capable House Sitter.

Ingrid was a fabulous house sitter for us. The house was left spotless and the pets were happy and obviously well cared for. As a bonus, Ingrid is a very talented photographer and sent us fabulous photos of our beloved pets with regular updates. We would have no hesitation in recommending her as a house sitter.
We were very happy that Ingrid was able to come back a second time to look after all our animals, birds and home while we were away. We knew that everything would be well cared for and Ingrid again left the house spotless. We will happily have her back for a third house sit if she is available.

Ingrid was a lovely house sitter who looked after our home and animals very well. The house was spotless when we got home - we wouldn't have known that someone else had been living there, apart from it being really clean! We would definitely have Ingrid back to housesit if she is available.

Ingrid was amazing, came at very short notice and even changed plans to make it all happen. Our home was beautiful to come home to along with gardens and lawns looking amazing, especially with the dry spell we had. As for the animals they where spoilt.

Ingrid looked after our house and dogs for one month. We had regular communication prior to us leaving and she came down the night before we left so she could familiarise herself with our home and dogs. Ingrid was amazing. She was very experienced and knowledgeable about animals which meant I could go away without worrying about anything. She also went above and beyond what I expected - mowing the lawn, tidying up around the place, and left the house cleaner than when I left! Ingrid was fantastic. The dogs were happy and well exercised and loved their visits to the beach. Ingrid had to put up with the hot water going off a couple of times, but nothing was a problem. We would love to have Ingrid back any time.
