Lewis & Erin

Hey,

***We are renting in Wanaka until October so are unlikely to be able to do any housesitting for that period unfortunately***

We are Lewis and Erin from Mid-west Wales, UK.
Since being in New Zealand we have been housesitting for friends of friends, looking after dogs (both big and small) and cats. We are new to Kiwi House Sitters but can provide reviews from our previous house sits if you would like :)

We are both massive animal lovers. Growing up in the rural countryside we are used to being surrounded by all sorts of animals, helping on farms as well as our own pets. Lewis grew up on a smallholding with dogs, cats, pigs, sheep, chickens, and ducks so would be confident (and would really enjoy) looking after those types of animals. For her whole life Erin has had rescue dogs which she has trained, cared for, and walked. The most recent of these is a large reactive dog named Mabel. In helping Mabel to overcome her anxieties, Erin has developed a strong interest in fear-free training methods, and has decided to begin a 5 year 'clinical animal behaviour' university course beginning in September 2024 following on from her undergraduate degree in Zoology. Erin loves all animals, and seems to be surrounded by them wherever she goes (see pictures), earning her the nickname 'Dr Dolittle' with her family.

Over the past year we have volunteered on two farms where we helped care for livestock and maintain vegetable gardens, and at a dog shelter where we assisted with the welfare and rehabilitation of dogs.

We are both super confident looking after animals and understand that owners going away is a stressful time for pets. We will do our best to make sure your pets stay happy while you are away! :)

During our time in New Zealand we have been living in our van alongside house sitting. We do not require much and simply enjoy being in a house and hanging out with pets. We are respectful and careful wherever we stay and always try to leave somewhere at least as clean as when we arrived. We can also do some garden maintenance if needed as we are confident with garden tools.

We are friendly, reliable, and respectful and would love to look after your pets and your home while you are away!!
