Homesteaders on the go
Mark and I are an honest, hard-working couple who have decided to take a break from our homesteading lifestyle to tour New Zealand for a while. Our homestead has given us experience growing many different foods and raising ducks, chickens, turkeys, and pigs. We also have an energetic 3 year chocolate lab (who is enjoying an extending sleepover with her buddy) and a 14 year old cat (taking up residence with my sister). Our fur-babies are our babies! And we know how much attention, love and care they need, and although we miss our pets very much we know they are in good hands. We want you to feel confident that your animals would also be in good hands.
As homeowners who have entrusted our home and property to someone else we can relate to the struggles and stress of having to find good care takers. I can assure you that we are responsible tenants and are able to take on the challenge of any animal care and residential duties that may be required on your property.
I am a professional with 2 university degrees who has been substitute teaching for 7 years. I have also worked in the farming industries and of course have experience on my own homestead. My experience also includes consumer service and tourism industries including Parks Canada.
Mark is a very reputable licenced heavy equipment operator. Although most of his experience has been in the farming industry, he also has experience working in land excavation. He is very handy with carpentry, yard work and regular house maintenance.
In addition to all our experiences we also ran 2 of our own AirBnB for 2 years.
