I am a retired teacher (French, English, Economics). I loved teaching but am also loving the opportunity to have more time to do interesting things.

I have lived in the same house (in South Canterbury) for thirty years.

As a house owner, I am very aware of the trust that house owners place in their house sitters, and my excellent references will show that I would be the ideal person to care for your home, pets and garden. I have had house sits through this site in Havelock North, Christchurch, Paraparaumu, Papamoa, and Wellington, Rolleston and Devonport.

I would describe myself as practical, resourceful, and security conscious. I am a nonsmoker and a calm and self-contained person. I enjoy overseas travelling but am also relishing the opportunity to re-experience some of the many places I lived in when growing up in New Zealand, or exploring some areas of NZ that I don't know well.

I would be available for short urban (or beach) house sits preferably up to a week or ten days reasonably close to a swimming pool or swimming beach. It's important to me to meet the owners and pets beforehand, so when possible I will always travel one or two days beforehand (and stay elsewhere at my expense).

No rating Jane is in our opinion the most perfect housesitter you could possibly find. Minding our house and 2 cats, she proved to be completely reliable and accommodating with absolutely no stress involved. I would not hesitate in having Jane back in future and would whole heartedly recommend her to others to snap up if she is available to do a housesit.

Jane has been fantastic caring for our beautiful Dougie(Schnoodle) walking playing and keeping us up to date with photos and emails and he was obviously a happy boy Our garden was flourishing when we arrived back and the house was as we left it for Jane We feel we’ve found a gem Housesitter and a lovely lady so hope we can entice her to come again

Jane is an absolute house sitting angel. She is so lovely and caring with our British Blue cat and sends us regular updates and photos. Jane takes amazing care of our house. We even came back from holiday to find our garden weeded, lawn mown and vegetables tended to! We've had Jane house sit twice now and she's our first port of call whenever we're going away. Snap her up when you can, she's the best!

Jane is a great house sitter. Communication was good, i enjoyed meeting Jane and felt comfortable leaving her in charge of my home and cat. When I got back the house was clean and tidy and the cat was happy . Jane had even swept my garden steps and path. I recommend Jane highly.
