Kia ora House sittees!

We're James and Nea, a couple based in Wellington. We know the region well having grown up here, and being local we're actively involved in various communities in our wonderful windy city. We successfully managed to save up and purchase our first home in December 2020, so we now house sit for fun and the enjoyment of it!

We would love to care for your pets and your home as if it were our own! We both have extensive experience with household pets having house sat for five years now, all over the country. We're comfortable on lifestyle properties with farm animals, and at home in the suburbs. We both love a bit of organic food growing and gardening.

We're a considerate, respectful and cheerful couple, who enjoy being active and everything outdoors, having a laugh (usually at ourselves) and meeting new people.

We're happy to discuss any special requirements you, your pets or your home may have.

Nea and James looked after our home and dogs over the Waitangi weekend. They took such great care of our two border collies that need lots of pats and exercise. The communication with them leading up to their stay and during their stay was outstanding. They arranged a video chat before the sit and we felt so happy leaving our home and dogs in their care. Nea and James were the most perfect house sitters. We were anxious about leaving our Cavoodle for the 10 day period whilst we went overseas, but our minds were quickly put to rest by the thorough communication Nea and James provided prior to our trip and whilst we were away. We had Nea and Janes look after our house and dogs over the Christmas and New Year period. They were absolutely amazing and were so wonderful. They looked after our two dogs which need lots of attention and walks everyday. We also have loads of indoor plants that they cared for whilst we were gone. The communication with them leading up to their stay and during their stay was outstanding. We felt so happy leaving our house and dogs in their care. Couldn't recommend them enough

Nea and James have sat for us twice now. They looked after our 2 cats very well ensuring Arlie did not pinch all Maggies food. Our house was left clean and tidy. We would welcome them back anytime and highly recommend them for future sits.

Our dogs loved Nea and James, and seemed really settled and happy when we returned. The house was lovely and clean, and they had washed the bedding and towels for us which was so helpful. We are looking forward to them sitting for us another time!! Highly recommended!

We were super grateful to Nea and James who are able to house sit and look after our pets with short notice. They obviously really love animals and our corgis had a great time with them playing ball games and being made a fuss of. Nice to have everything looked after while we were away.

James and Nea have house sat for us 3 times now. Coming home from a long holiday to a super tidy house with a clean made bed and fridge basics is amazing. Both cat and dog were well cared for, and they were happy to send us updates when we were worried about the fuzzballs. Their communication is great. Would totally recommend them for your next housesitters!

It was my first time having housesitters and Nea and James made it a really easy and stress free experience. They are excellent communicators and I'm very impressed by how quickly they won over my cat who normally runs from strangers (evidenced by the photo of her sitting in their lap).

Great couple. Good communication while away. Our very shy reclusive Cinders, the cat, was very comfortable with them. Neighbours also gave me positive feedback about James and Nea. Have booked them already for next year.

Nea and James looked after our house and three cats while we were overseas. We could not have asked for better sitters. We were kept abreast of how the cats were coping via email (and photos which were appreciated), and we came home to three very content kitties and a sparklingly clean house. We will absolutely have them sit for us again!

Nea and James were great! I had no stress with them looking after my place. I really appreciated their willingness to meet with me a couple of times first, it really helped me get comfortable with them. They also offered to contribute to expenses, which was much appreciated as well. Nea and James housesat for about 12 days in January, and cared for our dog and cat. They were great housesitters, and I would definitely invite them to housesit again. Their communication was great and they took great care in looking after the house. They were amazing with our dog and she was extremely well exercised. She needed some minor medical attention, and Nea communicated well with me about the issue and had it sorted by the time we returned. Thanks Nea and James!
