50, Experienced/Veteran House/Pet/Farm Sitter, IT Consultant & Senior Lecturer, Doctoral Candidate

Hello. I'm a New Zealander and a professional house/pet/farm sitter and I also sometimes do wwoofing. I'm also a Lecturer in Computing.

I house sit for townhouses, simple bach houses, farms, lifestyle blocks, all the way up to luxury houses. Nothing is too small nor too big for me to look after. I look after your pets and also farm animals and do some gardening/farm work as well, even solve your IT/Internet/Technical issues.

However, my original career is IT consultancy. I am also a Certified Personal Trainer and Health & Fitness Consultant. So if you have big dogs and animals, I can handle them easily.

I'm very reliable, organized, clean, honest, well-mannered gentleman and great with pets and animals. I love them and they love me back!

My philosophy in life is that it is one long train ride where you stop at different stations on the way to meet new people and animals/pets, visit new places, and experience new adventures. I decided to take up this lifestyle professionally since Christmas 2011 to focus on some good quality time for myself and also to experience what NZ has to offer. This allows me to travel around NZ to wherever there is a house/pet/farm sit job or a woofing assignment.

I have met some wonderful people and pets on the way, made new friendships, and had wonderful experiences that will last me a lifetime.

I am also available for weekend house & pet sits.

I have house sat in Taupo Christmas 2011 for 10 days. I also did house/pet sitting in New Plymouth for a luxury property for 3 months which ended early November 2012 looking after a lovely cat called Tigsy. Tigsy was a cute cat with an attitude! He ruled the place and you just had to do things on his terms! LOL. I enjoyed my time looking after him.

Then I directly moved onto another luxury house/pet sit job for a month also in New Plymouth. This included looking after their lovely cat Bella. Bella was another darling of a cat. Me and her share a special bond. I have house sat there FOUR years in a row (2012-2015), and the owners kept wanting me back! I guess Bella misses me as much as I miss her.

Then I left to the South Island where I finished a 23-day house/pet sitting assignment in Motueka in a nice simple yet funky beach-side house/bach looking after a lovely dog called Kauri. She was a lovely girl. Very playful and polite. I do miss all the wonderful pets I looked after in all my assignments!

Then, I finished a long 6+ month house sit job for another luxury rural lifestyle property in Tauranga in 2013.

This was followed by another house sit in another nice sea view home in New Plymouth in Christmas 2013 looking after a cute dog called Sprocket. He was charming and adorable. He followed me wherever I went like my shadow!

I was afterwards booked for two assignments to housesit farm houses and look after the pets, farm animals, and the farms themselves.

One was an orchard in May/June 2014 in Hawkes Bay. The other one was a farm in June/July 2014 in Rahotu (Rural Taranaki).

I then house sat back in rural Cambridge during Aug & Sept 2014, followed by another rural housesit out of Inglewood (Taranaki), and then Orewa Beach till end of 2014.

I'm great with cats and dogs and other animals. I can also look after a small farm if need be as I have done some minor farm work before with cattle and chickens.

I am very happy to provide security references if you so require. Just for the record, my career background is actually originally IT industry and I also was a university Lecturer. I also have a Masters Degree in Computer Science. I'm also currently studying for my Doctorate. The fact that I am now writing my doctoral thesis means I need all the quiet time I can get, and this is why I spend most of my time working from home on my laptop in whatever housesit I do while also bonding with all your pets and fur babies. They help me with inspiration as I'm writing up ! I'm like those writers you see in movies who retreat to the country or lakeside house, for peace, quiet and tranquility while they write!

In April 2015, I was back in New Plymouth. I was housesitting for same people, now 4th year in a row, looking after their lovely cat Bella who has now become my best friend. She even thinks now I'm her new owner!

Then I was housesitting in Inglewood (again!)Sep-Oct 2015 . I was looking after two lovely playful young poodles; a brother and a sister called Turbo & Maggie. Also looking after a very smoochy cat called "Smooch" (Hence the name!).

It's always good to come back home to the Naki! I'm now specialising in housesits here in "Taradise", while getting mostly rural & lifestyle block housesits.

I housesat in Highlands Park (New Plymouth) for two months in 2016 (April to June). Then I was back in rural Inglewood (again!) doing two housesits (one for the 3 days and the other one for 5 weeks) where I looked after lovely cats, dogs, chooks, and other farm animals during the period of Christmas 2016 to New Year 2017..

I'm currently booked in for two more housesits in lifestyle blocks in Naki.

I have since continued to do numerous housesits, mainly rural & lifestyle (pets & farm animals) all around NZ. They are too many to list!

Please contact me if you feel I fit your kind requirements. Thank You.

OMG - Go no further people if you're 'looking for the best'. Frank was a wonderful sitter for my 2 much loved small dogs, Sophie & Josie, & I could tell when I returned home that they had been happy with their 'temporary guardian'! The house was left spotless, and Frank even txtd me on a regular basis, including sending 2 pics to let me know my furkids were OK and happy. I would use again in a heartbeat. Many thanks Frank - my two furkids are my life so it was wonderful to be able to go away ... MORE

Frank was very communicative both before and during the sit. Very thorough with instructions and pet friendly. The house was clean and tidy when we returned
JOHN (Kapiti North Island, Jan 2020 - 7days)
This is not fair you gave me 4/5 stars for Garden care. All I was asked to do was water the garden, which I did. What went wrong?
Thanks Frank we really appreciated you looking after our furry Family and coming home to a well looked after home! Hope you enjoyed reminiscing back in Taupo :)
ELLE (Taupo North Island, Jan 2020 - 8 nights)
Frank was an excellent housesitter who looked after our house, lifestyle block and animals for 4 days. He kept me informed of everything that was going on and when we returned home the house was immaculately clean. Thanks Frank
ALEX (Hikurangi North Island, Dec 2019 - 4 days)
Frank is wonderful human being. He loves cats, for a starter - and anyone why gets along with my two feline beasties is a champion. He was meticulous in ensuring he understood our cat care instructions... and, frankly he left our house tidier and cleaner than he found it - and we thought we were fairly fussy housekeepers. Frank is welcome in our home any time... both as a KHS person and as a new-found friend. Major thumb's up!
JENNIFER (Tauranga North Island, Oct 2019 - 4 days)
Frank took care of my 3 furry animals over the weekend while I spent time with friends . As this was the first home sit Frank had done for me it was great to get several updates via tx . Very reassuring It was great to return to a happy well fed family and a lovely fresh clean home.
JANET (Bell Block North Island, Sep 2019 - 2 nights)
Frank took care of the property with sensitivity and professionalism and I would not hesitate in recommending him. Frank even installed the new smoke alarm at my request, thank you.

There's just not enough stars for Frank. He looked after our very much loved pets, they were very contented and happy. The house was cleaner than I left it!! Very organised and everything was spot on. Thanks again Frank will definitely have you come again. AAA+++
BEAR (Whitianga North Island, Jun 2019 - 3 days)
Fantastic communication from Frank while organising the house sit and when we were away (including photos!). We appreciated that Frank had to change travel plans to fit in with our sit at the last moment. The house was immaculate when we returned, linen washed and fire ready to go! Frank was kind enough to even cook dinner for our Mum one night. Animals cared for. Thank you so much Frank.
TRACY & IAN (Featherston North Island, Apr 2019 - 1 week)
Frank was a great communicator prior, during & after House/Cat sitting. It was obvious upon return ,that my Cat was her normal self and confirmed my gut feelings that all was going well. I went away feeling comfortable knowing my home & pet were in good hands.
SUE (Rotorua North Island, Mar 2019 - 4 days will vary)
We've just returned home to an absolutely spotless house, freshly laundered linen and towels and one very happy dog..all thanks to Frank! We are new to having house sitters look after our house and dog...if only we'd known about Frank we'd have used this service years ago! We can't recommend him highly enough :)
TRUDIE (Kerikeri North Island, Mar 2019 - 4 days)
We would highly recommend Frank to anyone. We came home to our pets and found that they had been looked after superbly by Frank. The house was clean, washing hanging on the line and he kept in touch while we were away. I hope Frank is available next time we have to leave our pets and home as he would be the first one I would make contact with.
KAY (Bowentown Waihi Beach North Island, Feb 2019 - 5 days)
Frank did a fantastic job looking after our animals-especially our young pup. The house was thoroughly cleaned, linens and towels washed and on the line when we returned. We would highly recommend Frank and will certainly call on him again.
NANCY (Plimmerton North Island, Jan 2019 - 5 days)

JESSICA (Whitby, Wellington North Island, Dec 2018 - 4 days)
Frank is obviously an experienced house sitter who is reliable, communicative, clean and tidy, friendly, and a real animal lover! Our boxer dog and 2 kittens warmed to him and he did a great job of looking after them and our house. We would be pleased to have him back again in the future.
STEPH (Whangarei North Island, Nov 2018 - 3 days)
Frank looked after our house and 2 rottweilers + cat and what a great job he did. We would recommend him to anyone wanting a good reliable person and great with animals. WHen we arrived home our house was cleaner than when he started with nothing to clean as all done. Many thanks Frank great job.
ANDY (Bethlehem North Island, Sep 2018 - 2 days)
No rating although we didn't get to do a handover prior to the house sit Franks great communication prior made it a breeze to leave our pets in his capable hands. He rang us on arrival at our home and confirmed details that he needed clarification on. The next day in daylight he was able to have any other issues clarified and we were both happy to then have him and us enjoy our weekends. On arrival back at home all was left as it should be very happy Thanks Frank would have you back Marg and Co
MARGARET (RD2 North Island, Jun 2018 - 3 days)
No rating Frank is a good communicator and very thorough. He wants to ensure he understands how to look after the animals correctly, and will ensure he gets it. He has left the house tidy and send a message updating me on how things went. A reliable house sitter who will endeavor to look after your house and animals to the highest standard.
ANNEMARIE (Lepperton North Island, Jan 2018 - 2 days)

No rating We would highly recommend Frank as a house sitter. He took great care of our house and animals while we were away. Our cats are missing him now we are home! We found him completely reliable and totally trustworthy. We received regular email updates while we were away which was very reassuring. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He even dropped us off at the airport and picked us up on our return. Thank you so much Frank and we hope to have you back again soon!
