Hello. I'm a New Zealander and a professional house/pet/farm sitter and I also sometimes do wwoofing. I'm also a Lecturer in Computing.
I house sit for townhouses, simple bach houses, farms, lifestyle blocks, all the way up to luxury houses. Nothing is too small nor too big for me to look after. I look after your pets and also farm animals and do some gardening/farm work as well, even solve your IT/Internet/Technical issues.
However, my original career is IT consultancy. I am also a Certified Personal Trainer and Health & Fitness Consultant. So if you have big dogs and animals, I can handle them easily.
I'm very reliable, organized, clean, honest, well-mannered gentleman and great with pets and animals. I love them and they love me back!
My philosophy in life is that it is one long train ride where you stop at different stations on the way to meet new people and animals/pets, visit new places, and experience new adventures. I decided to take up this lifestyle professionally since Christmas 2011 to focus on some good quality time for myself and also to experience what NZ has to offer. This allows me to travel around NZ to wherever there is a house/pet/farm sit job or a woofing assignment.
I have met some wonderful people and pets on the way, made new friendships, and had wonderful experiences that will last me a lifetime.
I am also available for weekend house & pet sits.
I have house sat in Taupo Christmas 2011 for 10 days. I also did house/pet sitting in New Plymouth for a luxury property for 3 months which ended early November 2012 looking after a lovely cat called Tigsy. Tigsy was a cute cat with an attitude! He ruled the place and you just had to do things on his terms! LOL. I enjoyed my time looking after him.
Then I directly moved onto another luxury house/pet sit job for a month also in New Plymouth. This included looking after their lovely cat Bella. Bella was another darling of a cat. Me and her share a special bond. I have house sat there FOUR years in a row (2012-2015), and the owners kept wanting me back! I guess Bella misses me as much as I miss her.
Then I left to the South Island where I finished a 23-day house/pet sitting assignment in Motueka in a nice simple yet funky beach-side house/bach looking after a lovely dog called Kauri. She was a lovely girl. Very playful and polite. I do miss all the wonderful pets I looked after in all my assignments!
Then, I finished a long 6+ month house sit job for another luxury rural lifestyle property in Tauranga in 2013.
This was followed by another house sit in another nice sea view home in New Plymouth in Christmas 2013 looking after a cute dog called Sprocket. He was charming and adorable. He followed me wherever I went like my shadow!
I was afterwards booked for two assignments to housesit farm houses and look after the pets, farm animals, and the farms themselves.
One was an orchard in May/June 2014 in Hawkes Bay. The other one was a farm in June/July 2014 in Rahotu (Rural Taranaki).
I then house sat back in rural Cambridge during Aug & Sept 2014, followed by another rural housesit out of Inglewood (Taranaki), and then Orewa Beach till end of 2014.
I'm great with cats and dogs and other animals. I can also look after a small farm if need be as I have done some minor farm work before with cattle and chickens.
I am very happy to provide security references if you so require. Just for the record, my career background is actually originally IT industry and I also was a university Lecturer. I also have a Masters Degree in Computer Science. I'm also currently studying for my Doctorate. The fact that I am now writing my doctoral thesis means I need all the quiet time I can get, and this is why I spend most of my time working from home on my laptop in whatever housesit I do while also bonding with all your pets and fur babies. They help me with inspiration as I'm writing up ! I'm like those writers you see in movies who retreat to the country or lakeside house, for peace, quiet and tranquility while they write!
In April 2015, I was back in New Plymouth. I was housesitting for same people, now 4th year in a row, looking after their lovely cat Bella who has now become my best friend. She even thinks now I'm her new owner!
Then I was housesitting in Inglewood (again!)Sep-Oct 2015 . I was looking after two lovely playful young poodles; a brother and a sister called Turbo & Maggie. Also looking after a very smoochy cat called "Smooch" (Hence the name!).
It's always good to come back home to the Naki! I'm now specialising in housesits here in "Taradise", while getting mostly rural & lifestyle block housesits.
I housesat in Highlands Park (New Plymouth) for two months in 2016 (April to June). Then I was back in rural Inglewood (again!) doing two housesits (one for the 3 days and the other one for 5 weeks) where I looked after lovely cats, dogs, chooks, and other farm animals during the period of Christmas 2016 to New Year 2017..
I'm currently booked in for two more housesits in lifestyle blocks in Naki.
I have since continued to do numerous housesits, mainly rural & lifestyle (pets & farm animals) all around NZ. They are too many to list!

Frank took excellent care of my dog, exercising and playing with him beautifully.He kept in contact, and if he had any concerns, he checked with me. I returned to a pristine home and happy dog. Everything I could want in a pet sitter, Frank popped in a few times before I left and took my dog for a few short' getting to know you' walks so that when I left for my trip, the transition was easier. This is my 1st experience of Kiwi Housesitters. Well i lucked out! Frank was amazing. I am so lucky to have found him. My 17 yr old cat looked so well and cared for when i got home. Im sure his purr has got louder! It was just so fabulous I didnt need to worry. My house was wonderfully looked after, - gardens watered and cared for, driveway swept, lawns mowed, just perfect. We were very very lucky to secure Frank as our pet and house sitter for two and a half weeks. Our pets and home were so well cared for, we couldn't have asked for better. Communication was a+++ and we wouldn't hesitate to have Frank pet sit again. Our house was clean and garden tidy when we returned - probably better than we left it! You would be lucky to have Frank care for your house and pets - he is just fabulous!
