Ex airbnb hosts & ex furparents- the perfect carer

We are able bodied couple who retired from a manufacturing business we used to own and moved to a 7 bedroom farmhouse which we renovated for airbnb. As hosts we met a lot of interesting people both local and from overseas, some of them became friends and have been in regular communication.

We used to have 3 dogs, several birds, chooks and ducks at the farmhouse. Raised several heifers, two bulls and sheep and ram. We sometimes took care of neighbour's pets when they went on Christmas break. When the farmhouse was sold we moved and stayed in the city for 6 years. We are now back to the rural community about 5 ks farther from our old farm house.

We used KiwiHousesitters to take care of our dogs when went overseas for 51 days. Two of our furbabies crossed the rainbow bridge in 2016. Our last pet was a senior Maltese Vinnie who we spoiled to high heavens. We lost our sweet little boy Vinnie last year and we are still grieving. We decided to do pet sitting to bridge our loss until we decide what to do next.

Your pets will be in good hands and your house will be treated with respect.

BTW - we are also keen gardeners.

This was our first experience of having strangers housesit and Brian and Carmelita did an awesome sit. Of primary concern were my dogs and cat, and they excelled in their care for them. Carmelita left comprehensive notes (we were unable to be contacted most of the time) on activities and the pets. We would thoroughly recommend this couple, and would have them again.

Brian and Camilla looked after our house for 3 days and I found them to be friendly and polite. The cat was well cared for and the house tidy and clean. They agreed to change dates at the last minute and this was most appreciated. 10/10 would recommend.

Brian and Camerlita looked after our place for 5 days, they were very easy to deal with and good communicators. They came for a visit a week or two before the sit which was great as could show them the ropes. When we arrived home the house was spotless with a nice warm fire going. We really appreciated being able to leave our house in very capable hands. Will definitely get them to house sit again in the future
