We are an adventurous, non smoking, active retired couple and inveterate travellers who enjoy the outdoors. We spent 18 months house sitting during 2019 and 2021 while between houses and really enjoyed looking after a variety of pets and meeting many interesting home owners. Consequently, have decided to continue doing the occasional house sit. We do a lot of walking and skiing in NZ and pre covid we travelled overseas for several months each year to destinations as diverse as Uzbekistan, Ethiopia, Bhutan, Bolivia, Iran, Greenland and Cuba.
Relevant experience:
* We understand the value that an owner has on their property as we are also house owners
* We have used house sitters for our own home and understand the requirements of house sitting
* We can use our life experiences for problem solving unexpected events that happen occasionally
* We have house maintenance skills and gardening experience
* We have owned a cat, and house sat for cat and dog owners, plus Jane grew up on a Waikato farm, so happy to look after most types of animals.
We are both vaxxed for covid.

I cannot recommend Jane and Peter highly enough. They were most respectful of our home, and left the place spotless. Our animals were very well cared for too, and I came home to happy pets.

Jane and Peter have been amazing sitters for our children, and they are fantastic people. They made such an effort to connect with us before we left but also kept us up to date with how the " kids were so not missing us". Kindness on return as we were sick so fruit and food left. Jane and Peter looked after our house, garden and cat for just over 5 weeks. Highly recommend this lovely couple. They communicated with us regularly and if a problem occurred they notified us immediately. The house was immaculate on our return and even a welcome home bottle of wine. Thanks Jane and Peter. Peter and Jane took such great care of our pets and our home. We felt that we could trust them from the moment we met them, and communication was easy and efficient. We would highly recommend this couple to look after your loved pets and home. They left the house cleaner than when we left, And the pets were relaxed and happy.

Jane and Peter confirmed a house sit for us at very short notice. They were excellent communicators, prompt with replying and easy to sort arrangements involved for the stay. They arrived the evening before our departure which worked well for going over our animals needs and we very much enjoyed swapping travel stories over dinner! Jane and Peter were fantastic house sitters. We came home to a spotless house, beautifully cared for plants, and even fresh milk, bread, and some home baking! They sent photos of our dog throughout the stay, and she was very well cared for. Would highly recommend.
