Hi,

We love house sitting! Getting to know pets and animals, exploring new areas and caring for someone else's property is an absolute pleasure for us.

We emigrated from UK to New Zealand in 2008 and love our life here in Algies Bay, near Warkworth. We have 3 children who have all flown the nest, so would be unlikely to be with us, although they may visit for a day or two if we end up near them.

We have just taken early retirement so are now much freer to do more house sits. Yippee!

We are very used to respecting other people's homes and pride ourselves on always leaving the owner's house in a clean and tidy state. We communicate regularly with house owners, collecting post and giving updates on any pets or livestock in our care.

We just love animals; we have had our own cat and chickens plus small pets eg rabbit, hamster, guinea pigs and have hand reared lambs. I had my own horses as a child. Cats are our preference but we have very much enjoyed looking after dogs as well.

We are looking forward to getting to know new areas of New Zealand while caring for your pets and animals. We are also very happy to do gardening and watering, (I have a productive veggie patch at home), or pool maintenance and Pete is an expert on the ride-on mower!

In the warmer months, a pool or beach is definitely attractive to us as we are keen swimmers. So near a beach, lake, river or with a pool! For Dec 2023/Jan 2024 we will be available in the Otago, Marlborough and W Coast region.

No rating Thank you Carey for looking after my house and cat so well, everything was immaculate when I got home and there was even cake in the fridge! Its nice to know there is someone I can rely on in the future should I ever need a house sitter again and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone else. I think Cosmo is missing you as well, not getting so many cuddles now that I'm home.

It was such a pleasure to meet Carey and Peter and we were very happy to go away leaving our home and precious pets in their care. Carey and Peter are fantastic sitters. Communication was prompt and easy. The house was left very clean and tidy. They even washed the linen and remade the bed and left some delicious scones. The animals were clearly well looked after. I am in the middle of renovations which would have been less than ideal for them, but they weren't phased by that at all. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for house sitters and will be asking them back as soon as I can.

Fabulous house sitters who looked after our pets very well as well as the house and garden. They communicated throughout the stay and left some very thoughtful thankyou cards as well as a chocolate slice to welcome us home. Highly recommended.

They took wonderful care of our dog and cats, the house was left immaculate and they dealt with an unexpected situation with our heating system easily and happily.
