We are Belen (37 years old), Tomas (37 years old), and Luisiana (2 years old). We're a small family with Latin American roots and have been living in New Zealand for almost six years.

We're based in New Plymouth, where I (Belen) work as a Business Consultant and Financial System Analyst, and Tomas is learning how to invest in the stock market.

Currently, I'm working from home on various business projects, and Tomas is studying online part-time. That's why we're eager to leave the city, explore other towns and cities, and enjoy the company of pets that we adore.

As for Luisiana, she's a little angel and very relaxed. She's already 2 years old and is a quiet, friendly girl. We encourage her to interact with animals—she basically grew up around cats, dogs, cows, and sheep! She loves spending her time outdoors, exploring, and helping us with chores.

We value cleanliness and organization. Our experience includes taking care of cattle, cows, sheep, and chickens, as well as handling large-scale grass mowing. We're also skilled in painting and basic repairs. Rest assured, your house will be in excellent hands!

We've been caretaking for pets and homes since February 2022, and it's been an incredible experience for our family.

When we're staying somewhere for longer than a month, we enjoy participating in local playgroups to connect with local families and communities. Luisiana enjoys making new friends, and I (Belen) use the opportunity to engage with various entrepreneurs and business owners to expand my network and keep up to date with different industries.

Tomas, Belen and Luisi were the perfect house sitters! Such terrific people who cared about our property and our animals as much as we do. We returned after five weeks away to happy, healthy pets, a very well maintained house and grounds, and a delicious dinner which was incredibly thoughtful of them. We cannot recommend them highly enough. Our animals fell in love with them … we fell in love with them! They are now a part of our lives and we are very grateful.

As farmers a stay away from home is a bit more difficult to organise than usual because it is not just a home but also a business. We did not want to burden our already very helpful farming neighbours keeping an eye on our farm animals to also have to take care of our house, dogs and cat which is why we advertised on kiwihousesitters.co.nz. Belen, Tomas and Louisiana house sat for us for 2 1/2 weeks. We were so happy to have them sit for us and would have no hesitation in using them again or recommending them for other house sits. Our home was left very clean and tidy and all our animals were happy. Tomas mowed our acre of lawn. Belen and Tomas were amazing!!! They took such care for our fur babies and especially at a time that would have been difficult for our dog Tess, who hates the sound of fire works. We were worried leaving her at a stressful time but we recieved photos and were reassured she was in great hands. Was so pleasant coming home the house was cleaner then we left it, plants were watered and happy pets. Highly recommend 👌

Belen and Thomas came into our home like it was their own, cared for the animals, Meeka, (dog) Max, (cat) and 8 chickens while we travelled in Europe for a month. They were great communicators from start to finish and sent photos of memories of their time! We came home to a happy dog and well looked after animals. The house was immaculate! They sent us photos & messages over our 6 week holiday which helped us to relax & enjoy our time overseas. It gave us so much confidence while we were travelling to know the farm and animals were well looked after, and having the communication with them was fantastic (and the videos of the animals). Belen, Tomas and gorgeous wee Louisiana were amazing. They looked after our dog Molly for 7 weeks. We got regular photos and videos and she was happy and healthy when we got back. Knowing Molly was being so well looked after really helped us enjoy our holiday! On top of that when got home our house was immaculate, my plants were thriving and the garden was tidy. Would highly reccomend this lovely family.
