Kristie & Trent

Kristie and Trent are professionals in the Medical and Science fields, having recently relocated from Australia to New Zealand. (Trent works from home)

Kristie is a health professional (community/pre-hospital settings) with roots in rural coastal living, has a deep affinity for animals of all sizes, stemming from her upbringing around horses and domestic pets. Her work and leisure activities have taken her across the globe. Kristie has previous work experience in administrative and legal secretary roles, with 10+ years experience in Australian hospitals. Meanwhile, Trent is an experienced scientist, specialising in interdisciplinary medical research. Since his early teens, Trent has been involved in volunteering and research projects centred on animals spanning from domestic to wild, in farmland, terrestrial and aquatic settings whilst working alongside veterinarians, field ecologists and biologists. Now in his mid-30s, Trent’s care has extended to a diverse range of creatures, including dogs, cats, sheep, cows, birds, reptiles, arachnids, and marine life. Alongside his passion for animals, Trent has an avid green thumb and a passion for plants, from orchids, bonsai, herbs, and vegetables and has worked with a family-owned bespoke horticulture and landscaping business throughout his studies in science and engineering.
