Hi there,
We are a Wellington based couple who are in professions that allow us to work remotely at times and be more flexible when we take our breaks. We love nothing more than getting up in the morning and taking a long walk - sadly we no longer have our dog Cleo to join us on those walks. We love animals and we also love to travel - being a pet & house sitter allows us to enjoy both and possibly visit places we would not have otherwise thought to visit in our beautiful country.
Having used Kiwi House Sitters ourselves in the past we know what it is like to be an anxious pet owner, leaving a beloved animal in the care of others. From our own experiences we have learnt what people would expect from us as House and Pet Minders. I know we always appreciated that minder who went that extra mile - keeping us informed whilst away and who cared for both our home and animals with respect and love.
Throughout both our lives we have owned pets - cats, dogs and budgies. Our children have now left home and our pets have passed away and we have the freedom to travel, so whilst we are deciding when to get another pet of our own, we can enjoy looking after yours.
Liz and Mike did an outstanding job of looking after my home and property. There were lots of little extras such as picking and freezing blue berries, and small jobs around the lifestyle block that were unexpected, and gratefully received. The house was spotless and communication excellent. I highly recommend these sitters.
Liz and Mike were the perfect house sitters. House was better than we left it and Gosi (the dog) wanted to go home with them when I met them at the Waiheke ferry for handoff.
Gosi and us want them to come again!!

It was a real pleasure meeting Liz and Mike. They did an outstanding job caring for my house and dog. When Tas unexpectedly needed vet care they drove him to the after hours clinic on a Saturday night and took care of his follow up treatment. The house was spic and span when I returned and recycling bins had been emptied on the scheduled pick up day. Tas had clearly become quite attached to Mike and Liz. Liz and Mike were so accomodating and we just knew that we would be returning to happy pets, which we did. They took so many photos of our dog it was so lovely. Highly recommneded.
Liz and Mike took wonderful care of our home and dog Tui. Tui was happy, calm relaxed and well exercised we were returned. Liz and Mike were great at communicating, and were happy to move round our timing requests. They left the house spotless, did all the washing and took away the rubbish. We couldn't have wished for a smoother easy housesit.
Wow, Mike and Liz are the ultimate house sitters. Liz kept us up to date on how everything was going and took amazing photos that she sent me each day. We came home to the house looking immaculate with all the washing done and beds re made.
We would gladly have them back to house sit and recommend them if you get the opportunity.

From the moment we met Liz & Mike we knew our animals were going to have the best time whilst we were away. We would highly recommend them. Lucky and Earl were so well looked after, Lucky loved all his adventures and Earl is missing all the cuddles.
