Among other attractions are the various National Parks. Both the Kahurangi National Park and the Abel Tasman National Parks are nearby and are well worth a visit. There’s also Nelson Lakes National Park which hosts some lovely lakes. For mountain sport lovers, there is Takaka Hill, a hub of adventure activity.
