We need a house sitter

Canterbury - Selwyn

Amanda

Our house is a modern 4 bdrm with heat pump and logfire for coziness, and wifi for connectivity. We’re on 2 acres in rural Kirwee, with a view of the southern alps. Kirwee is a small village about 25mins from Christchurch, close to local ski fields., with a petrol station and a popular cafe/bar. A car is recommended as there’s no public transport to speak of out our way.
Our cat is an elderly Burmese, very friendly. He loves to sit on your lap. He has diabetes so requires insulin injections twice a day - this doesn’t bother him at all, and is easy to learn how to do. It does mean someone has to be home at night and in the morning to inject him though.
Our dog is an energetic springer spaniel who has a big backyard to play in but will also need a daily walk. He’d love it if you were home a lot, but can manage if left alone for a few hours daily.
We also have a couple of friendly sheep in the paddock - they’ll need water trough checking but are low maintenance otherwise.

It was a pleasure to sit for Amanda and her family. Her house is really comfortable with everything you might wish for. The two cats are cute and easy to care for and enjoy a cuddle in the evenings. Shadow is a young and super energetic dog who loves to play his "water game" with you for as long as you want. :-D The garden is real low effort and high yield. We had some delicious strawberries and courgettes :-) We would for sure sit again if we ever get the chance.
