Upper Hutt Wellinton

Come and stay on our beautiful off grid farm and native bush property. Enjoy peace and quiet, native birds and beautiful stars in the outdoor bath while only 15 minutes from Upper Hutt and 40 min from Wellington.
We have reliable (solar/hydro) electricity supply and good internet. We have a friendly 3 year old dog (Xena), chickens, sheep ,cows and goats.
Enjoy a stroll up the hill in the mornings, with beautiful views of the South Island, Wellington Harbour and the Tararua ranges while feeding out the animals. The farm animals will need feeding out most days and occasional moving, they are all used to being around people and are easy to deal with.
We are happy to overlap or top leave clear instructions. We actually leave early on the 5th of August.
There are some daily chores: dog-walking and feeding, feeding the chickens and closing them up at night and checking the farm animals most days.
We cook on a gas stove top and a wood burning stove which also heats our hot water.
We do have a rough 2 km drive we can help with transport if you do not have an appropriate vehicle.
We are happy if you have a dog to bring them with you, our dog is fully vaccinated and very dog friendly.
Xena (the dog) is not used to being left at home for long periods so someone who could work from home at least some days would be preferred.
We would be very happy to have someone who wanted to consider returning for other times in the year.
