Nelson / Marlborough - Tasman
Patrick
We are a young family of 5 going away from early June to late August, we live up the valley in Marahau, a large lifestyle block with access to Marahau river and bordering Abel Tasman National Park.
We have a 3 year old female German Shepherd cross Husky and a friendly house cat that need looking after.
Some grounds maintenance is also ideal but not essential.
The property is entirely off-grid, electricity is provided by a hydro turbine and solar panels, heating is provided by a modern log boiler with radiators and underfloor heating.
A certain amount of technical and mechanical familiarity is required to understand the off-grid systems for correct use and maintenance, a small manual will be provided as well as a thorough explanation on-site.
There are two houses, the main house is 4 bedrooms and is quite large, requiring plenty of firewood to stay warm, the smaller 2 bedroom cottage could be used instead, requiring less maintenance and firewood.
Totally private setting bordering the national park with no properties further up, surrounded by regenerating bush, streams, springs, and all the wild the top of the south has to offer, the best place to get away from it all.
About a 30 minute drive to Motueka.
Please get in touch if you have any questions.
