Addington Christchurch

Seeking energetic, common-sense, outdoor-loving person/couple (prefer couple) to look after a lovely 7-year-old Border Collie, Bowie (like David Bowie). This is a 24/7 sit with three feedings per day, so ideally you will be a remote worker or on holiday. Bowie is the kind of dog that goes everywhere the human pack goes - car rides, out to eat, trips to the store, etc. He does not do well with being left home alone for long periods of time.

He requires some form of exercise throughout the day (usually have 3-4 outings) and loves to play tug of war and fetch. He is well trained, polite, and fun to hang out with. Great recall, fantastic off-lead behaviour. One other small dog may be permitted; however, note that the property is quite small.

Bowie has arthritis and a previous injury that may affect his ability to do high-impact sports sometimes. Occasionally he may need to be lifted in/out of a vehicle (depending on the vehicle), so must be able to lift 30kg.

Preferably you have your own vehicle and don't mind having the dog in it so you can take trips to the beach, etc. However, a vehicle could be provided on this sit. Information about possible dog-friendly adventures will be provided.

Accommodation is a small, stylish studio on a private, back section with locked gate access. Located only two blocks from the main drag of Addington where one will find shops and restaurants.
