Warwick and Meshel are both non-smokers, and prefer the quiet life, reading and relaxing, walking fabulous NZ bush walks, swimming in the fabulous rivers, lakes & beaches. They have much experience in looking after peoples' properties and get great enjoyment out of looking after the many varied homes/gardens and the owners pets!
Warwick is currently based in Richmond/Tasman working full-time to save money for his next book-printing project so may not be available to look after your adorable pets during the daytime hours. However, he would love to house-sit and come home to a cute cat to pamper during the coldest of winter months and have a home base where he can continue working on his short-stories, novels, and poetry.
Meshel: I am loving having the good fortune to be able to travel & see the hidden gems this land of ours has to offer, which house sitting has helped enable me to do! Its a great way to meet good people & explore areas which I never knew of & all with the comfort of nice homes & furry, hairy, feathered ones for company.
Warwick has been very helpful and reliable. He was excellent with the animals. He came out early to see the property and was very prompt at replying to messages. He was very tolerant and accommodating about some glitches. We really appreciated his standard of care and would love him to come back.
I would totally recommend Warwick to house & animal sit. He is easy going, reliable and trustworthy. Warwick visited twice before the actual house sit and the dogs took to him straight away. It was reassuring for me to know they got along. Warwick's communication was great. He kept me updated with pictures while I was away. Meshel did a great job looking after my cat & home. She sent photos & kept me informed. It was a short sit & she was happy to extend it when I was delayed with cancelled flights.
Meshel looked after our place while we were away over Christmas and New Year.
She sent us lots of pictures and kept us updated while we were away. House was beautiful when we returned and gardens looking amazing. Animals were also very happy.

Mechel is an AMAZING house sitter her communication was great at all times. She is bubbly, gentle and intuitive, and loves animals. The cats were spoilt rotten - hard to do when their owner is a class act of spoiling - even SHE was impressed. Mechel baked for us, cleaned the house, leaving it spotless. Folded the washing. The plants were watered. I would completely recommend Mechel as a sitter as she is beyond anything I'd expect. Beautiful person too. Thanks Mechel, come back any time.
Warwick was a great house sitter and felt like part of our family from early on. His communication with us while we were away was regular and informative, keeping us involved and updated with little videos and photos of our animals, asking questions when animal behaviour seemed a bit out of the ordinary, and paying attention to the little details, which we really appreciated. Warwick communicated well until arrival, when he told me he didn't look after dogs!.
My add clearly stated that was the whole purpose of the house sit.
Multiple times over dinner he told me that I had not advertised for a dog sitter, and that I didn't click the"dog box" on the add. I was confused to say the least.
In the morning as I had found our messages including:" I have had a lot of experience looking after dogs " I asked him to leave.
I do not wish this to happen to anyone else.
Warwick looked after our house for just over two weeks. He came up a few days before we went away which was great as he could see how things were done around the place, as well as let the animals get used to him. He looked after our two dogs cat, pigs chickens and horses.
He was great to deal with as far as communication was concerned.
He was very easy to get along with and dogs had a great time with him over the stay.

Michelle is an amazing house sitter. Nothing is to much trouble and she can be flexible with dates. My Labrador had a cleaning and ointment regimen for her sore paws which Michelle did with more diligence than myself, they are a lot better as a result. The house was left immaculate and plants and pets happy. I highly recommend Michelle, not only is she a great house sitter but a lovely kind and caring person. There were little gifts and treats left for us when we got home too!
Warwick is a reliable and respectful house-sitter. His communication was excellent, both prior to and during the Housesit. He was always on time and he was engaging and pleasant company. I would have no hesitation in recommending him for a future Housesit.
Highly recommended! Everything was left spotless, plus we were greeted by a delicious home-baked plum cake, flowers and chocolates - a delightful surprise! A week prior to our departure they made the effort to meet up with us to discuss the care of our property and pets. They kept in regular contact around the welfare of our animals, sending us photographs of our fur babies; putting our mind at ease and letting us know everything was fine. Wow, what an amazing couple! As we were new to having Housesitters, we asked them to come and stay with us 2 days before we left. As a result we left feeling confident our home and animals were going to be looked after as we wanted. We got the chance to get to know them and give a proper handover in a relaxed way. Warwick & Michelle were absolutely wonderful house sitters.
Ruby my Labrador dog was walked 2x daily as asked.
Maddi the cat was very happy at home being feed & looked after .
On return I was blessed to have a delicious cake still warm , which was devoured. My home was well looked after.
I wouldn't hesitate to have them back
Warwick and Michelle looked after our house for 9 days . They were wonderful caretakers looking after our two cats, indoor plants, outdoor deck plants and generally treating our home as their own with care and respect.
We arrived home to a clean and tidy home, home baking, a montage of photos of our cats, and other magical surprises and gifts.

Warwick and Michel were awesome house sitters. They did more than was asked and looked after my cat and dog really well. I am more than happy to have them back when I travel away again .
