We are a retired couple, both non-smokers, married over 40 years, and own our own house. We are free to get away whenever we like and enjoy exploring different locations just for fun.

We are both active and in good health, handy with gardens and anything that might need urgent attention should the need arise while you are away.
We live quietly, enjoy the outdoors and will look after your property.

We have had experience with various pets e.g. cats, dogs, fish, birds, horses and beekeeping, but our preference is small dogs and cats, and for sit duration of about a week. We currently have one cat which has adopted us (which stays at home with family while we are away) and have our own transport.

We require smoke-free residences. Thankyou.

No rating I am grateful to Stewart and Shona for agreeing to housesit for me at short notice. I was deeply impressed by the tenderness and kindness with which Shona nursed my frail, elderly, much-loved poodle who departed this life a couple of weeks after the sit ended. I recommend these house sitters for their genuine compassion for animals and also for the cleanliness and orderliness with which they kept my house in my absence. Thank you Stewart and Shona.

Stewart and Shona are the ideal house sitters. Our cats loved them and they sent us daily updates, sometimes with photos, of them. We came home to a beautifully clean and tidy house and happy cats. We would highly recommend Stewart and Shona to anybody wanting reliable, quality housesitters.

Shona and Stewart were such wonderful sitters. They kept us well updated with our pups. We came home to our house in an excellent state. They kindly provided their own bed linen so I didn’t have to worry about the washing when we got home. Our dogs were happy to see us but we could tell Zoe was wishing they would return. We would absolutely love to have Shona and Stewart stay again.

Stewart and Shona were wonderful from start to end. They kept in touch and confirmed beforehand, and arrived early in the day so that Mike wouldn't be alone for long. Did not seem to mind that Mike wedged himself into bed with them, and sent regular updates. We came back to an immaculately tidy house and a lovely and unexpected card and snack. Will absolutely ask them back again.

No rating House left in immaculate condition. Easy to communicate with and they kept in contact while I was away. Dog very happy. I will definately try and get Stewart and Shona to sit for me next time I go away. I would highly recommend.

Stewart and Shona exceeded all of their references on the Kiwi House sitters site. We came home to happy pets (dog, cat and horse) and a house that was exactly as we left it, but with the added touch of some fresh milk in the fridge, a hand made gift from Shona and some nuts and cranberries just in case we were peckish on our return. Stewart and Shona are simply amazing! We could not be more pleased. We've left our two young dogs for the first time and I was very nervous about how they would cope. Stewart and Shona communicated very clearly and updated us regularly. Our two dogs and cat could not have been more relaxed when we came home. The house was immaculate and we even found some goodies. No rating Stewart and Shona were the best. They communicated well, were relaxed, and left our home cleaner than we did. We had no worries about having them look after our precious things and Bella the cat loved them more than us. I would say you would be very lucky to have them house sit your home.

Stewart and Shona did a great job looking after my animals and my home and left everything spic and span. I had hoped to be able to have a face-to-face chat with them on my return home but unfortunately my flight was delayed.
